i am sorry, you can not hard wire the Inforad K3 unit, but you can contact Inforad and purchase the cable that will allow the unit to be connected at all times to the cigar adaptor of your car

I have never actually downloaded from a pic as it comes with uk speed cameras pre loaded. I guess if you travel to lots of different places regularly then you would need to update

It will pick up all fixed and mobile locations using the biggest database I. Europe. Inforad uses GPS technology and not laser. Laser technology is illegal in the UK and Europe.
