It says on the package it's made in the Himalayas. Just a side note: my dog loved to get these, but be careful when they eat them. Large chunks break off and they don't dissolve quickly at all. I stopped giving them to my dog because he started choking on the pieces.

Yes, they were each packaged in their own plastic cylinder.

Q: My chihuahua is only 5lbs. Will these be small enough for her mouth?

The package I ordered came with 3 pieces. One was smaller than the other 2. My 8 lb. Chihuahua loves the smaller piece but my 6 lb Chihuahua finds the other pieces too big and heavy so she doesn't chew on it. I guess it depends on how big the pieces are and your dog.

Q: How hard are these? I’ve heard yak chews can fracture dog’s teeth?

Perhaps if you have a senior dog or one that has a calcium deficiency, but otherwise as your dog mouths the cheese, it will soften and scrape off. I have 3 German Shepherd Dogs (a 7 months old puppy, a 4 years old female, and 12 years old male) and all of them love these cheese treats, and none of them have any issues with eating them.
