I really like having double-walled containers for drinks because of the insulation they provide. But I also like the look, feel, and safety of glass (no chemicals leaching out of plastic). But most other glass containers still have a plastic lid. This one has a glass lid! The silicone on the outside really helps to protect the glass. I bought this to replace a similar double-walled glass container that broke. So far this one seems a little sturdier than my previous one.

I got my Beautiful mug, the design is nice, good gripping band, size is good for cupholder.The cons- The sip spout has no cover. I spilled my drink a bit on myself as I was walking. The lid is fragile. I only used it twice and was hand washing it and place it on the sink and then I noticed it cracked right on the spout. I was going to continue using it but was afraid of cutting myself.

Love it! I love the glass look for a coffee mug and the layer of glass insulation makes it look like tge coffee is suspended in air. Ha! Seems fairly light, stood up well to boiled water.Can't wait to take this in the next road trip!After a good two years with the 12oz mug I upgraded to the 16oz version and I'm impressed! The new lid is a major improvement as it's basically the same as you get on the Yeti and other mugs. The sleeve is thicker and feels more secure, plus the mug is larger without compromising portability. Looks classy too so all in all a great upgrade!

The glass tumbler works great for my hot coffee but there are some setbacks. The glass isn't that thick so the tumbler and lid are fragile. When I received the tumbler and removed the top foam packing, the lid was stuck to it. So the lid fell out and shattered. The tumbler and lid were not wrapped or taped together. Amazon did replace the tumbler and carefully unpacking it, the tumbler and lid were wrapped together. Seems like the first one I received was a return?The lid does fit snugly to the tumbler which creates a good seal (doesn't leak!) but this does make it difficult to remove. If you don't have a good grip on the lid when removing it, it can easily flip out of your hand and break where it lands. You also have to be careful when washing the lid and tumbler. They're slippery when using dish soap!The other setback is the silicone bottom cover. This protects the tumbler well when setting it down on any surface but this cover causes the tumbler to get stuck in both of my vehicle's cup holders. When I yank up the tumbler, the cover slips off. So now I use the tumbler sans the silicone bottom cover. I just try to be careful when I put my tumbler down so I don't crack the glass.Besides these setbacks, I do enjoy using my ecoBrew travel mug. Just wish it wasn't so fragile.

The mug is beautiful, but it does not keep contents hot In my case for a long time and unfortunately, it's very fragile. It fell against my sink Since edge and it broke.

Easy to use, works great, it even microwaves good. I haven’t tried the dishwasher, and don’t intend to. Even though a lot of these claim to be dishwasher safe, or at the very least, top rack dishwasher safe, I have found that double walled containers are just better if I don’t try it.The only issue I have, is the sliding lid closure. The lid fits fine and has a fitted silicone seal, but the sliding closure that you drink from is not removable for cleaning. Steam gets inside it from hot beverages and it is not meant to be removable. I removed mine and just do without it, and it didn’t break when I removed it. But like other cups that have a sliding closure that is removable for cleaning, this one does not. Since I have other cups that don’t have closures, just a hole for sipping, it is not a big deal. It would be great if they would make it removable.

I gave this Coffee cup only two stars because it is not made with somewhat durable glass. I bought two of theses, one broke the first day I had it. I put it in the sink, it tipped over and broke instantly. A few weeks later, the exact same thing happened to the other one I bought.I understand glass is breakable, but these are very fragile. I have dropped my drinking glasses in the sink and on the counter, they never broke.If it weren't for this reason alone, I would have given it a 5 star review. They are nice looking glasses, I love the rubber gripper around the center of the glass as well as on the bottom. I purchased these so that we could heat up our coffee when we needed to, they worked perfect for that.These glasses are just too fragile.

The media could not be loaded. I've been raving about double-walled borosilicate glassware for years -- it does a great job with hot or cold drinks. While it won't keep them hot/cold for quite as long as an insulated steel container, it's still does a very good job, holding the temperature for at least an hour or two. In addition, there's no condensation on the outside. And glass is just plain better than plastic.I was having a hard time finding a double-walled tumbler that had a lid and was protected enough to take in the car, but the ecoBrew is great for at home or on-the-go use. The silicone sleeve and bottom "boot" give just enough protection from slight bumps. Now it's glass, so I wouldn't expect it to survive a hard fall, however. So don't be a klutz!The 16-ounce size works well for lattes made at home (as in the video) or the "grande" size from your local Green Goddess.At first, I was tempted to purchase a similar cup with an all-glass lid from another seller, but I decided the plastic lid on this one was more practical, since it had a better seal to prevent spills. Also, the opening is just big enough for a straw, so it's easier--and safer--to sip while driving. (My car yells at me to "Keep your eyes on the road" if I tip a cup up to drink while driving...)All in all, I'm a big fan of the ecoBrew tumbler and recommend it highly.
