This is a safeguard for my desktop and works like a charm. Really well constructed and holds very well without taking too much space. Pretty straight up assembly and in a matter of minutes my 34" monitor was up and running.

Works great. I have the usual Ikea desk and it isn't damaged at all. Highly recommend if you’re worried about damaging your desm.

Mount a 57 G9 on my IKEA table that's most made of particle board. This helped reforce and distribute the weight a bit so the table doesn't crack. Time will tell if it does crack or warp and I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

If you have a nicer table or veneer that you think is fragile, this may be a good option to support 'clamp' style monitor arms. Generally, the contact with the table is not huge (especially on the bottom side). Therefore, having these 2 pieces of metal before contact with the table helps. The top is much bigger real estate, for better or worse. The bottom is a much smaller rectangle, but enough to prevent the tightening to make a dent on the table itself. I feel like the metal allows the clamp to be more eventually distributed, plus there is a thin layer of foam with adhesive. Overall, it worked well on my current desk, which is less than 2-inch thick. Very sturdy and heavy-duty, but price is only ok in my opinion for 2 pieces of metal. It does the trick though, so worth considering for anyone who had similar concern as mine. I probably wouldn't use it on a glass table top though, just because I think that's a bad idea in general.

I was cautious purchasing this but it has made a world of difference in mounting my 34’ ultrawide alongside another monitor! The plate is solid and I trust it is doing its job as I haven’t had a single issue with wobble or slippage. Very easy to use with the installation of a mount! Get this!

Good reinforcement if installing dual monitor mounts on IKEA desk.

Was mounting an ultrawide monitor to my sim race rig and this plate gave me the added thickness and strength to do it properly. Great item, priced right.
