The optical audio cables do what they are suppose to do... improve the audio quality. They do, but who knows to what degree. But it gives you the best chances to get good audio.

Sturdy Cable
I’ve had it for a week. Works great. Very sturdy construction. Seems much more substantial than the cord it replaced.

The cable did exactly what I expected to do
The media could not be loaded. Cable did exactly what I expected to, and it was less expensive that had a major retailer.

Optical Cable
Good quality cable. Had to run mine through the wall from behind my flat panel tv to my theater processor. Cable was flexible enough to do so. Cable ends fit snugly in both the tv and processor. Would buy again.

Works on my LG TV
Gold plating is always a marketing gimmick, but gold plating on an optical digital cable is absolute peak nonsense. That being said, it did fix my problem. My LG TV has a crappy toslink port, and my other plastic cable didn't fit properly. Some people online reported cables with metal connectors work better, and it did.
