I needed a replacement bladder for my bag I purchased 14 yrs ago. This was perfect. Walking or touring on hot days having this makes a huge difference. Simply sip at will.

This bladder is very good despite having a cheap price, I recommend it if you do not want to invest a lot, wash it before using it, the water tastes like PVC material

Having hiked many 100+ mile hikes, I have come to appreciate and demand the best qualities of a good water bladder.First, I only will use a three liter bladder, just like this one. One never knows what might happen where that extra liter may be a life saving item. Even on short hikes close to my home, I will only bring the larger bladder.The bite valve must have some type of on/off option to safeguard the water from leaking out. It also must be replaceable and the company easy to communicate with when one a replacement is needed. I don't know about communicating with this company, but they fulfill the first two requirements as well.This should be a given, but the bite valve has to come with a dust cover to help keep mud and dirt or any other foreign matter out of the valve.Here are some nice features of the water bladder that may be important to others when buying a new bladder, but not particularly to me. This bladder has an insulated tube that fits over the drinking tube. This helps keep the water a bit cooler in the summer, but more importantly, it helps keep the water from freezing in the winter. I have so many insulation tubes that this feature is not on my priority list anymore when buying, but certainly is when I'm hiking.This bladder also comes with an extra set of O-rings where the drinking tube connects to the bag. This is often where a leak may occur. I have never been sold a bladder with extra O-rings before but this is a really nice feature to include.All my water bladders have the slide bar type opening that opens and closes from the top of the bladder. The slider locks the bag closed and keeps it shut, preventing any water from leaking out. The purpose of this type of opening, instead of the filler hole opening this product has, is it is so much easier to fill from the top of the reservoir and considerably easier to clean and dry.The opening on this bladder does not allow sticking a hand inside the small hole to completely wash the bladder out using a sponge or other cleaning tool. Without a complete scrubbing of the inside, the water will start to taste a little off and it will begin to smell as well. A brush will fit into this hole, but it is very difficult to scrub the inside of the bladder with a scrubber that is not pliable and able to clean every section and corner of the bag.This really is a nicely made water bladder with most of the best options. If it had the top slider that opens and closes the bag, this would be an easy 5 Star product,. However, as it is, I feel compelled to rate it at 4 Stars. The hygienic importance of thoughly cleaning the bag can't be overstated.

Works well

I have hiked 3 times with this, and the bladder has started to leak. Imagine coming back from a hike with your whole backside soaking wet. I put water in it today to see if this was a fluke and ended up having a slow leak.

Does everything it should, always a gamble with the nozzle but this one seems good unless you’re i. 10 deg f weather
