I've never used an engraver before. Looking at the options on amazon, my only purpose was to engrave my name onto my tools. I didn't really know what to expect but it worked great. A bit loud but it took me like 5 minutes to engrave my name 15 times. I think it's pretty great, considering the price of this tool compared to the others. I probably wouldn't buy this if you engrave A LOT but it served its purpose for me and I'm happy with it. Think I'll pass it onto my buddies so they can do it too since I'm done with it.
