This headlamp has 5 different light modes, so you can easily adjust the brightness to suit your needs. Whether you need a bright light for outdoor activities or a dimmer light for reading in bed, this headlamp has got you covered.

I have two types of these head lamps. The lamp you are asking about is front heavy. I purchased another type with a yellow colored string that fits across the forehead that is lighter weight and much more comfortable for a longer term use. Hope this helps.

The flood light disperses the light to a wider area, but doesn't illuminate at a greater distance as the spotlight.
