We order this heat lamp to help with heat in our sons snake tank.We already have a heat map in the tank but want to try a heat lamp to see how that goes.The heat lamp comes in a little cage and a nice little metal wire spring wrap around some of the cable. The cable is a little short compared to some of his other tank electrics so you might need to get an extension cable if you need a bit of cabling to get to the plug socket.On switching on it does start to get nice and warm after about five minutes but the bulb in this setup does not glow and I thought it would do that. The cage hooks are a little flimsy but you can get it to close no problem. Upon hanging in the cage it seemed to sit and an angle as the wire was causing white on the bracket so it would list with the weight of the wire.The build quality does seem a bit cheap but for the asking price you cannot expect much. If you want a bit of a better build you might want to spend another 10 pounds as you may be disappointed with this one.Overall I can recommend this if you are on a budget and want to try cheap one but I'm not sure how long it will last, only time will .tell

This light holder no longer works and I would like it replaced please. I bought this in January and cannot return after 1st March. I did expect this to last longer than 2 months. Please advise?
