Q: What receiver would best go with these speakers? the d9 and d7. also recommended subwoofer to go along with them? thanks

I purchased a pair of these speakers and I must say they are absolutely fantastic for all around listening. I power them with a Marantz SR5013 and these speakers perform great. They have as clear and precise sound as I have ever heard. They also get very loud if need be with no distortion. They have very good bass response but for movies get a pair of subwoofers and you can't beat the theater like sound they put out. I prefer the Marantz avr to Denon. Mararantz cost a little more because they have more expensive parts to get that music lovers sound quality. Denon are great to but I prefer the Marantz and have for many years.

That is totally depend what setup you're planning to connect this to. I'm using them as desktop listening and they're perfect for what I need. Plus your ears have to like them too. And that is unique to each person. Top notch for me but could be crap for the next person. However you can return them if you don't like them, just have to try and find out.

Q: How many watts per channel do the d11s want? frequency response? dynamic range? snr?
