Yvolution Y Flyer Kids Pedaling Stepper Scooter - Suitable for Ages 7 and Up

Having looked at several 'exercise' scooter, I decided to settle with this one - 5ft tall & weigh 9 stones. The scooter is good, easy to assemble the parts together. Although the height of the handle bar cannot be adjusted but you can make it just a little bit higher by 1.5 inches, any higher would make the main handle bar unstable, otherwise just slot the main handlebar all the way down the internal bar as per instruction. The internal bar is 6 cm high - yes I measured it! The wheels are big and they are 200 mm wide, which is good. Noise-wise, it is quiet just like riding a bike. The scooter is good for smooth pavement and tarmac but not for grassland or off-the beaten track with large potholes! My only wish for this product is dual suspension for front and rear scooter.

Great scooter and really good exercise whilst being fun to ride.Quite hard work on the legs like a stepper or cross-trainer so it is a good post Christmas workout. Goes quite quickly but not too fast so feels safe.Brake is front wheel only and normally does not work well as it’s a plate pushing down onto the tyre so you need to keep that in mind on hills. If a stone gets into it then the front wheel locks and throws you over the handlebars but that has only happened once.Surprisingly noisy as the chain tensioner wheel is a bit “cheap and nasty” and squeaks loudly despite being oiled; not really sure why the tensioner is required. Some of the gears seem stiff and mesh together very tightly so I wonder and the longevity of the bearings. Does mean people know you are coming so makes it easier to avoid other people.It has been well used already and my daughters like it and I like the exercise they are getting from it.
