Cheapest way to link a pair of Ubiquiti switches by fibre optic
More reliable connection between my two Unifi Switch8 devices on either end of the house, with an inexpensive LC fibre cable.

Compatible & reliable! This is NOT compatible with a Cisco 2960-G switch !!
Excellent compatibility with TP-Link MC220L media converter as tested by me.These SFP modules are also cross-compatible with other brands such as OPTCORE as long as you choose 1310 / 1550nm wavelengths. Excellent value for someone looking for bidirectional single mode fiber connectivity.Please note that this GBIC is NOT compatible with Cisco 2960-G switches!!

Funktioniert mit TP-Link Switchen
Verwende die SFP Module um zwei TP-Link Switche im Alt- und Anbau über ein "Elfcam Glasfaserkabel LC/UPC auf LC/UPC Simplex Singlemode" zu verbinden.Die Module werden erstaunlich warm. Funktionieren aber bisher stabil und zuverlässig.

Ottimo prodotto come descritto funziona alla grande utilizzando una sola fibra SM alla faccia di chi sostiene che i switch Ubiquiti funzionano solo con la doppia fibra MM

Cheap, fast, & good....is this the first time that is possible?
From one side of the house to the other side is a distance of >300 feet when running cable up, around and down walls. Too long for CAT5e but I had to find a way to get better WiFi and a 'wired' connection to a cable box on the far side of the house. Someone gave me a 500' scrap piece of outdoor rated SM fiber. Two pairs of these $30 GBICs saved the day. My LC fiber terminations cost more! Can't wait to get rid of the media converters and upgrade to another Ubiquiti 8-150W switch, then I can add some cameras too!
