Very secure
It does what it is supposed to and it has a small screw to secure it to your saddle bag to prevent accidental lose while riding or another person slipping it off into their pocket.

Good light clip
I’m a big fan of this clip! It has a screw at the bottoms to keep it from slipping off your rear bag strap.

Not impressed
This was intended for use with my Ortlieb Seat Pack. The Seat Pack requires use of the entire seat post, so it's not possible to mount a standard light or the Garmin radar. By description, this looked like a solution. The pack has several slots to mount tail lights. It seemed to work initially, but testing in the driveway showed instability. I made sure it was snug before going out on a street ride. The mount fell off within 20 feet. I checked again, and made sure it was snug. At 2 miles, and 4 miles, it fell off.I carefully inspected the mounting bracket for signs of damage or manufacture defect, but there was none. It just doesn't work (for me), so I can't keep it. It may fit other seat bags better, but I would avoid this one if you own a bag made by Ortlieb.

Was any R&D done before production? So close...
I'm not using this on a off name saddlebag. I'm using a Topeak Wedge, one of the most popular saddle bags and brands out there. The saddle bag has a spot just for a light to be clipped on.This thing would be 5 stars, perfect if for one design flaw that makes it unreliable and difficult to install. The creators must have not done any real world testing before putting it into production. Out of the box, there is about 1mm of space in the clip, this isn't enough to allow the retaining prong to engage as the Topeak mount causes the clip to split outward unnaturally.I fixed this by adding multiple layers of mounting tape at the top of the clip to create more space. The creator can including a spacer in the box (to retain the original design but allow for thicker mounting material) or update the design.

Great quality and worked great on my bike bag
The quality of the product is great as it clips to my rear bike bag and won't come off easy. I used it for a Garmin Varia Radar RTL515 and all good!

Screws too tight to reorient the GPS position
The item provides a means to orient the position of the GPS unit via two allen head screws on the round mount. This allows for a 90 degree rotation to suit your application. However, the two screws are too tight to loosen and most likely have thread locker on them as well. I could not get them loose to reorient my unit. I'll make do with the supplied position orientation as returning the unit is too much trouble.

Also supports horizontal orientation of RTL515, using 2mm hex key to reconfigure
This clip seems strong. It grips my RTL515 well, and it clamps on very tightly to the attachment strap on my large rear seatbag. On my bicycle, the best orientation for my RTL515 is horizontal. The Tusita mount as delivered is configured for vertical mount. I was pleased to find that it can be reconfigured for horizontal mount by undoing and redoing some bolts, as follows. Step 1 is to separate the two rectangular plastic components by removing two hex bolts on the back using a 2mm hex key. That step exposes the heads of the hex head bolts that attach the circular component, as seen in first photo. (Photo also shows two unused holes in vertical orientation between the two bolt heads on the left component). Step 2 is to remove those newly exposed hex bolts. Step 3 is to rotate the circular component by 90 degrees and replace the most recently removed bolts in the previously unused, vertically aligned, pair of holes. Step 3 is to reassemble the two rectangular pieces by reinstalling the first pair of bolts. These bolts are all previously treated with blue threadlocker and are pretty tight; I was glad to have a 2mm hex with a stout handle on it. I have made separate modifications to get the mount propped against my bag so that the light and radar are pointing directly back, but I can report that the radar functions well even when the angle is drooping down a bit so these separate modifications may not have been necessary.
