Giro Men's Tracker

These fit true to US size and are quite comfortable. All the more so with a good Superfeet insert in 'em, for which there is ample room. As with many I've wanted a light weight yet reasonably stiff shoe as an alternative to tennis shoes for extended eBike rides. I use pinned flat pedals although I lowered the pin height by adding a nut underneath each pin. The result is quite sufficient. These shoes seal the deal.

These are very good shoes. They are well made, with durable all-weather materials. Good slip resistance for mountain or urban biking. While I often wear size 12, the next larger size has worked best in this shoe. They look good, suitable for wearing off bike. The soles are sturdy, and likely to hold up for walking use as needed. One of my favorite features is the adjustable lacing. Allows for personalization and comfort.

Nice stiff sole is better than street shoes. The Boa lacing would get loose sometimes during rides. Easy to hose off after muddy runs. Fit was perfect and comfortable. Grips pedals well. Good dirt traction during hike a bike.

I am an older bike rider, and just decided I really did not need clip in pedals any more. Well these shoes still give you great support because they have a stiffer sole. These are great shoes. I am a size 15 regular width and these shoes fit perfect. I never heard of the BOA system, but it is great. Lift the dial to open the cable, and push down dial and twist to tighter shoes. They are really like “metal cable laces”, and they work great, because they do not get untied, or get loose. Great Giro shoes. I use these shoes with Rock Brothers flat MB pedals that are larger and grip well into the bottom of these shoes.

Cool and comfortable and grippy.

At first, I was a bit skeptical about these shoes; however, after trying them while cycling, they performed very well. They are comfortable, don’t slip on the pedals, and the pedaling feel is much better compared to regular running shoes, which many people typically use when riding a bike. Overall, there is definitely a noticeable improvement in pedaling performance. When I buy shoes online, I usually don’t get the sizing right. However, for this pair I measured my foot in centimeters and added 0.5 cm before choosing the size according to Giro’s size chart. The shoes arrived with the correct measurements and fit my feet perfectly.

The overall quality is on par with the rest of Giro's footwear. Everything is properly glued and sewed. The boa system works as expected. I bought these mostly for XC trail riding. Nothing with big jumps or huge rock gardens. They work alright in that regard. They grip my pinned pedals well, are light, and have good ventilation. They're comfortable to walk up the occasional hill or into the store in. I have tried these a few times on my enduro bike, riding at a downhill park. The soles are pretty soft and flexible, which is not good when you're spending all day standing on your pedals. My feet flexed around the pedals, got tired and started aching pretty quickly. They also do not not have much protection in the form of reinforcement or padding, so if you hit a rock you're going to feel it. I wish the description made it clear these are more for recreational riding. It states "...for rowdy descending and powerful pedaling on your all-day adventures", which is definitely not the case. The included insoles are about 2mm thick and offer no arch support or impact absorption either. They also fit a little on the narrow side, especially for a size 48, but that seems to be typical for Giro.

Maybe 5-10% stronger downcranking? My xc segment times certainly aren't slower with these. I think they are worth it but you'll have to ask yourself what the goal is for flat pedals. They are super stiff but pretty comfortable. Not as comfy as sneakers but definitely more efficient. Grip the pedals decent. I am satisfied with them.
