Use this OBDII scan tool to read my vehicle’s check engine light. It was very easy to use. This is a more basic scan tool that reads code numbers and clears the code easily. It’s great value for the money.

So this is an entry level scanner similar to what autozone or advance auto parts would use to check your light.Very easy to use and pull codes as well as clearing codes. Would highly recommend this based off how it works and price. Very good value

It's essential to have one of these nowadays. Although my mechanic doesn't charge me to read codes, many do, and many charge a ridiculous price. This can save you money, and you can reset your dash light after an oil change in a couple seconds. While sometimes it's finicky to get a reading, I think it may be me being sloppy, because I've never had it fail to connect and read at all. Hey, for sixteen bucks you just can't beat it.

The thing is so temperamental never sure if it will detect the vehicles. Sometimes takes multiple attempts and sometimes it never is able to connect.DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM..

My boyfriend told me to get this in case I get stuck with my car I can tell him the diagnostic codes. Small device easy to store.
