Glad it does fit because it is awesome
Almost returned because chip seem to be too big for Lowrance Hook 7. Got in touch with dealer who was accepting of return with reasonable terms. Luckily, figure out that the smaller size chip was inside the bigger chip. Oops. Glad it does fit because it is awesome! Shows markers in the water and underwater objects.

This does not work with Lowrance Hook 5
I tried to install the C-map into my Lowrance Hook 5 with no luck. Although the card fit fine It would not recognize the card or load the maps.

Does not show contours on most popular Texas Lakes
Purchased new hook 2 7 with us inland lakes, I'm in Texas, most popular lakes show up similar to a kids water color painting (on basemap), no detail, was told this would have the lakes I wanted with detail and contours, nope, has better detail, but still no depth contours, contacted CMap tech service after tired of being on hold with Lowrance, was told by them, no, of it's not a lake that had contours on the base map, the hook series would not be able to pick them up from the card and display them :( I think I will keep the card, it does bring the lakes I wanted out in detail, channels, boat ramps, etc. but extremely bummed about contours. I have a $150 hook 4 that has them nicely on the lakes I want, but my $600 hook 2-7 doesn't (on certain lakes, the ones I fish the most)

Not compatible with "Lowrance Eleite 4 HDI"
Prior to purchase I asked whether the charts were compatible with my unit. Nolan answered "Yes"The charts are not compatible. After a failure to load I called the Lowrance Customer Service, they confirmed that the "C-MAP Insight Pro" chart I was sold is NOT compatible with "Lowrance Eleite 4 HDI."I also have no way of telling how old the chart data is, the packaging mentions 3/2018 (purchased in 5/2021) but that is secondary to the compatibility.

Chip not accurate on smaller lakes
The chip is not accurate on all lakes. On Shadow Mountain Reservoir in Colorado it showed me on land when my boat was obviously in the water.
