USB-C hubs or multiport adapters come with numerous, but still limited functionality expansions. Extra USB ports and a USB power PD port are the usual options. This one interestingly skips the PD input, but offers up to 4 display outputs (and in high quality) using 3 different standards, and at a very good price too.It has 7 output ports: 2 x DP (DisplayPort) ports, an HDMI ports, a VGA port, and 3 x USB-A 2.0 ports.Regarding the ports, this one seems especially useful in expanding your display device outputs in two different use cases: 1) making sure you are equipped to use a variety of display devices when you take your laptop for a presentation, or 2) having the capability of using 4 monitors, and with high quality outputs. Normally, I would emphasize the first point, but the display output capability of this device is higher than what you would need for a basic presentation, such as a max of 8K@60Hz or 4K@144Hz. Of course, if you use 4 monitors at the same time, the video quality of each monitor will also go down.It uses a single USB-C port of your computer and gives you back none as it has no USB-C output ports. So if you need more USB-C ports, this one does not help. My laptop has a single USB-C port, but 3 USB-A ports, so this would use the only USB-C port I had and offer 3 more (slow) USB-A ports on top of the ones that I already had. However, MacBook owners with a few USB-C ports and no USB-A ports might appreciate that it will give you 3 more, albeit slow, USB-A ports.The device has a metal body and looks sturdy. Its input cable seems more rigid than other similar multiport adapters I have seen, probably to allow for a higher rate of data transfer speed for higher quality of video outputs. It is very small and lightweight, so it is also perfect for portability. The output ports are clearly marked.Such devices usually have a USB PD (power delivery) power port as well, however, this one does not. This is not an important factor for charging in my case as my laptop already has a separate power connection and it requires more than the common 100W PD capacity anyway. However, I suspect that such PD ports might also help with powering the port connections too; without such a port, your laptop will definitely have to power the port connections as well.Also note that not all USB-C ports offer the same abilities. To use the display outputs of this device, you have to make sure that your computer's USB-C port supports that. In fact, for the high quality video outputs, it requires an advanced level of requirements for the USB-C port. In addition, they also mention that the number of monitors supported can also be limited for some Window laptops. Speaking of Windows, unlike other similar devices, this one clearly states that it is not compatible with any MacOS computers.Overall, this is a good multiport adapter to expand your computer's functionality, but make sure the expansions it offers are those that you need. For being able to use a variety of display hardware, this is golden, especially considering that it even has the old school VGA output. It is also very useful for having a high quality video output for a number of monitors at the same time. The price of $40 CAD at the time of writing also seems to be a great deal, lower than some other similar devices with a lower quality of video outputs.

It’s small, not too heavy, space saver, very effficient and easy to use.I needed to connect two of my dell monitors to my HP laptop and I had a DP cord so I bought this cause it has the DP port and once I connected it, it worked perfectly no problem and no troubleshooting. Great buy for me.

Comme indiqué dans le titre c'est une mini station d'accueil orienté vidéo, ce qui veut dire qu'elle permet de s'adapter à toutes les situations que l'on peut rencontrer que ce soit avec des écrans récents HDMi et Displayport tout comme un écran plus ancien en VGA.* Les ports Displayport peuvent monter jusqu'à 8K s'ils sont à la norme DP1,4 si vous branchez qu'un seul écran ou 4K 144hz si vous branchez 2 écrans.Il est possible de brancher jusqu'à 4 écrans si votre config le permet ! J'ai rajouté la notice pour bien voir.Pas de prise USB3, les 3 ports USB sont en version 2.Pas de prise USB-C pour la charge.Pas de prise RJ45.C'est 40€, c'est donc essentiellement pour celui qui a besoin d'une polyvalence sur les écrans.

La presentación de la Dock in es más que suficiente, en su caja, encajado a su vez en otro blíster de cartón y con instrucciones.El aspecto de la dock in en sí es muy bueno: de metal en un elegante color plateado como iridiscente, y de muy buena construcción, aparentemente.Con esta dock in, además de poder conectar y desconectar rápidamente mi portátil, he podido extender dos monitores: un monitor conectado al puerto HDMI de la dock in y otro monitor conectado al puerto VGA, incluye además 2 puertos más tipo Display Port. Tras una rápida configuración en Windows 10, tengo los 3 monitores funcionando perfectamente.Este punto es fundamental, porque otras dock prometen hacerlo, pero a la hora de extender pantallas, sólo pueden extender y replicar en espejo otra. Con esta, he conseguido los dos conectados a la dock in, además del tercer monitor que sería la pantalla de mi propio portátil (Lenovo Y520).Así que estoy encantado, porque tengo una potente estación de trabajo para mi puesto que puedo llevarme rápidamente desconectando sólo el cable USB-C de la dock in. No he probado los puertos Display port para intentar conectar dos monitores más adicionales.He podido comprobar que, a pesar de tener varios aparatos conectados, prácticamente no se calienta, cosa que no se puede decir de otras dock in que he podido probar.Probé tambien a conectarla a mi móvil ya que en la descripción indica que es compatible con Android, pero en mi Xiaomi Mi 9T no conseguí nada más que que funcionase teclado y ratón, el monitor no hubo forma.La dock incluye. 3 puertos USB 2.0, un puerto VGA, 2 puertos Display port y un puerto HDMI. La docking station è costituita da un parallelepipedo di dimensione 49 x 115 mm e 14.5 mm di spessore. Il peso è di circa 85 g. L'involucro è in plastica, verniciato color argento. Alla docking station è collegato un cavetto (non rimovibile) di circa 25 cm di lunghezza, che termina con un connettore USB-C maschio. Il cavetto, di buona fattura, è rivestito da una guaina esterna di nylon a trama intrecciata, del diametro di 5 mm. Il connettore USB-C ha lunghezza standard e ha un'involucro metallico.Sulle facce laterali sono presenti 3 porte video, due DisplayPort e una HDMI, mentre sulla parte anteriore è presente una porta VGA (femmina). Sulla faccia opposta a quella dove sono presenti le porte video, sono presenti 3 porte USB Type A, a velocità USB2.0, a cui potremo collegare altre periferiche USB 2.0, come pendrive, tastiere, mouse, etc.; è possibile collegare fino a 4 monitor; sulla porta VGA la risoluzione massima sarà di 1920x1080, mentre sulle altre porte si può arrivare fino a 4K, ovviamente con le limitazioni imposte dalla scheda video e dal sistema operativo.L'uso è risultato immediato, collegato alla porta di un laptop HP recente, ha funzionato correttamente e ha consentito di visualizzare il desktop su un monitor esterno 4K a 60Hz, sia nella modalità mirroring che estesa. Il tutto sia con Windows 11 che sotto Linux, con una distribuzione recente. Anche su Mac funziona correttamente.Notare che affinché la docking station funzioni è necessario che la porta USB-C del dispostivo (laptop, cellulare, etc.) a cui verrà collegata sia dotata della modalità DisplayPort "Alternate Mode"" o semplicemente Alt-Mode; se il dispositivo non ha questa modalità, pur avendo una porta USB 3.0 o anche 3.1Gen2 ad alta velocità non sarà possibile visualizzare alcun segnale video.Ho notato che il display sul monitor esterno non viene visualizzato fin tanto che non parte il desktop del sistema operativo, questo significa che non è stato possibile visualizzare l'immagine sul monitor esterno nelle impostazioni del BIOS.La docking è risultata un po' schizzinosa con in cavi displayport, infatti ha funzionato solo con dei cavi DisplayPort di alta qualità. Con cavi DisplayPort di qualità mediocre, che comunque se collegati direttamente dal computer al monitor funzionano tranquillamente, non è stato possibile utilizzarli, in quanto l'immagine non veniva mostrata sul monitor, che rimaneva nero.Anche porte USB2.0 hanno funzionato correttamente e le corrispondenti pendrive ad esse collegate hanno raggiunto una velocità di trasferimento di circa 35-40 MB/s.Purtroppo si sente la mancanza di una porta Power Delivery, in modo da poter usare la docking station mentre il dispositivo che la ospita è in ricarica.Complessivamente è un buon prodotto.
