The sensing edge will operate as a non-monitored device. Review: Great product! - I like that I was able to cover all of the area possible at the edge of my sliding gate. The ability to create custom lengths is great! It does come in 3 prices, the bumper and cord end, the blank end an glue. The hardest part was cutting the end as flat as I would like. As I remember, it has an internal 10k resistance for monitoring with the new 325-2016 standards.
