I would not recommend this item and have requested a refund. (Probably why it's been discontinued everywhere else)The product remained runny and did not turn to icecream. I had a very disappointed 7 year old waiting to make it and lots of ingredients and money wasted too.

Unfortunately this didn’t make the ice cream it promised.It is a cute toy, bright and colourful with a recipe booklet to guide you through making the ice cream, but it just isn’t cold enough to freeze the ice cream, not even to soft scoop status.We found that we could use the kit to get to the freezing stage but had to pop the mix in the freezer to get ice cream which defeated the point.

This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.I was particularly drawn to it, as it seemed like a fun and different idea for my children to try, because we've never previously used any kind of ice-cream maker before.The build quality of the set is good - each component has a solid construction, whilst all can be easily detached for cleaning. There are also no rough or sharp areas to be found, and the included tools are very much child-friendly.Getting to grips with the making process was a little tricky, as there are a few steps to be followed - this includes filling the tray with salt water, and leaving it to freeze overnight. You then have to gently and carefully roll the ice-cream (it's probably best to use small amounts, too). Though it is somewhat time-consuming, the results are worth all of the effort - my children certainly enjoyed making their own frozen treats!In summary, a good value item.

Not functional. It doesn’t turn into ice cream, just into gloop. But, the kit is fun. And if you put it in the freezer after you poured the cream, it will work.

I followed the instructions as adviced and it still didn't work.My little girl was waiting for the fruit and cream to get solid and nothing happened!.In the end we had to put it in the freezer to stiffen up.Highly disappointed!!. I would like my money back!!!!.
