A nicely varied collection of puzzles

A nicely varied collection of puzzles. I particularly like the way that Singmaster uses his extensive knowledge of classical collections of mathematical puzzles to expose their errors and to propose extensions. There could have been a little more care in checking -- for example, problem 13 is posed in terms of Roman numerals,1, and arithmetic operators, yet the solutions also allow the use of the Arabic digit 7. Overall, though, lots of fun.

L have just bought a Kindle version of this bought and wish I hadn't.The puzzles are low grade and some of the answers worse. If I could get my mony back I wouldR.M.Boardman
