Makes you think.
I wouldn't have chosen this genre of book normally, but the 1st book in this series came up on a free reading list. And now here I am on the review page of book 5, and about to download the 6th and final book in the series. This particular book is as engrossing as each of the previous. This time though I am left wondering if this could really happen? not because it is unbelievable, quite the opposite, technology has moved so fast that it is credible governments could already have this, but given a power crazy individual with a narcissistic personality could one individual in a government use this??? Brilliant would recommend reading the whole series. Well done Alan McDermott, thought provoking read.

Book five - another cracking read.
As with book 3 of this fabulous series, Alan McDermott has drawn upon his vast expertise from the sphere of information technology and created a frighteningly realistic plot of terrorism as is operating in 2016. More frighteningly he probably gives a picture of what it's likely to expand into as the coming months and years with the unravel growing jhiadist threat. Government agencies would do well to take heed of the plot which could so easily turn into reality in our beloved country. Unusually at a fairly early stage in the book I spotted an area where I feel Alan's research has let him down - that being how the stock market works. I'm not giving anything away when I say that for me that part of the book is a pretty significant flaw. That said, overall it didn't significantly detract from the fast paced plot. A plot which as ever with this author has a start middle and well planned end that made it a page turner right to the last page.

Action hero in all his glory...
I just finished Gray Vengeance and I have to say, it was an excellent read. The suspense kept me turning the pages though by 35% into the book, I was sure I had pinpointed the mole. Aha, not so fast! I got it wrong because the author lures us in a false sense of we know ''whodunnit'' .I am a fan of the Gray series. Tom Gray is a fantastic character, as are his close friends. They are toughies with big hearts but they can be ruthless when needs be. The action is always spectacular. If you love action books, then Tom Gray series is for you.It is not necessary to have read the previous Tom Gray books because a little background is given but of course, it is better to have read them. As a matter of fact, I am going to re-read them all.I was feeling a bit let down by Book 4 but Book 5 definitely redeemed it.I can't wait for the next one.

Good adventure story.
I like the way Alan McDermott writes although I do have some issues with his women in these books. A wife who really doesn't care for him, and then a girlfriend he meets while they are both in serious trouble who seems to be strong personality but who crumples at the first sign of danger. You couldn't be more clichéd. However, these luckily do not deter from some very, very good adventure tales. And they do not last long (spoiler alert - sorry). As long as the character of Tom Gray doesn't become too wimpish about his surviving daughter, these books will be readable. Keep the adventures coming Mr McDermott, but it's better if you leave the women out of it.

A Wild Ride!!
Another brilliant Tom Gray book! I didn't think they could get any better than the first one but they keep improving. This was no exception, Gray Vengeance was exciting from start to finish, you start with getting to know the main characters again and then the shocks and surprises begin, and I found my emotions on a rollercoaster ride one minute it was worrying what was going to happen to Tom and next it was anger at what you wanted to happen to the nasty characters and I confess I wanted them to suffer!!! If you read the book you'll understand what I mean! I could not recommended Alan McDermott enough he is a natural author!! 👏👏

Grays winning streak with this reader.
If you've read the first 4 then this won't disappoint*. Another rollicking tale of skulduggery and derring do. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would from the blurb.I've read all 5 back to back and just downloaded the 6th one. Is that really the last in the series? I hope not.*If you haven't then there are many good reasons to start with the first in the series!

This book series just gets better and better
I read the first 4 books in this series, I was hooked by the Tom Gery character from the start, while I could say that there are some points I didn't like, those points are small and really do not detract from the the overall theme or plot, they are purely personal to me, well written good plot twists all the characters are well thought out, book 5 being the best yet, I have just downloaded book 6.This author is definitely up there with best, I have read the likes of Lee Child, David Baldacci etc. Alan McDermott is with them, at the top of my list.

Excellent storyline.
Again the author puts together a cracking storyline with the help of his characters who are very familiar and leads you through the book of good against evil with the good guys pulling out all the stops to keep the country and themselves safe from terrorists,s must read for anyone interested in this technothriller/fiction genre.
