Samsonite Luggage Hyperspace Spinner 26 Expandable Suitcase, Galaxy Black, One Size

The bag is very nice and the perfect size for someone like me that generally vacations for 3-5 days. I took this bag on trip to the Bahamas and all was going well until I got in my hotel room and tried to put the handle down. The button on the handle that allows the handle to be expanded and collapsed stopped working. I was able to get the handle down by unzipping the inner liner and depressing the metal buttons to push it down. Of course, that meant I had to leave it down for my travel home which meant I had to carry it through the airport (or stoop down and push it without the handle).I followed the Amazon return process online and they sent me out a new bag before I had to return it. That was nice since I had already thrown away the original box. And since it was a defect, they paid for the shipping. I now have the new bag, but haven't had a chance to use it yet. Due to all the other high reviews, I hope this was just a rare defect.**UPDATE**I have used my replacement bag and have had no issues with the handle, so it looks like I just got a defective bag originally. I'm very happy with this bag and changed my review from 3 stars to 4.

Does all that is claimed for this excellent product. I have used it on just one transatlantic trip so far but it performed excellently. It has all the features you need in a checked bag that when fully loaded stayed within the 50 lb weight limitation of most airlines. I'm sure we could have got more in with its expansion feature but that wasn't necessary.This suitcase rolls effortlessly - in fact it is somewhat of a hazard for crashing into things if you lose control of it, particularly on sloping ramps in airports. The handle seems a little flimsy but extended and retracted reliably on this first trip.My only complaint is that some aspects of the design seem to be more for improving the appearance than for any practical advantage so a more boxy appearance would have allowed more volume for packing. The teal color is attractive but it does stand out on the carousel with an expensive look, both an advantage in identifying your bag but also a possible disadvantage if anybody is looking to steal your bag.

This is an incredibly well crafted and attractive suitcase. It is the perfect size: I found out later that European flights support the 26" as the maximum size, so I was glad I ordered this instead of the 30". It is very ample. The expansion zipper (the red one in the pictures) allows you to fit your purchases along the way. The wheels are substantial and really work. The inside is thoughtfully designed, and included a plastic-covered pouch inside the "lid" of the suitcase that was really helped to organize the small stuff you need but usually can't find. I don't know if there is much size loss due to the tapered top, but I really liked the design over the older, boxy design. Also, I didn't have any problems with the bag tipping over. I packed and unpacked for 2 weeks, pulled the bag over all kinds of terrain, and it did well on a big tour bus (they actually told us not to bring the hard sided ones!). It also was light -- actually much lighter than I expected. As you can tell, I am very pleased with my purchase and am grateful to the Amazoners who recommended it.

We love Samsonite luggage. It's a good quality product for the price. I got this bag for my wife to make it easier for her on long walks through the airport. This is our first 4-wheeler, and it rolls very smoothly. Storage set-up is good, we especially like the shoe compartment on the front. The only thing about this bag that I wish was a little different is the top dimension is much smaller than the base. The top is actually smaller than it looks in the picture, and the sides are more sloped than they appear. That's not a problem unless you want to piggyback a carry-on shoulder strap bag on top. We have the Samsonite Hyperspace Boarding Bag, and the base of that bag overhangs the top of this spinner by quite a bit. Still, recommended.

Used this one time for a trip to France and not sure if it is rough handling by airline baggage handlers or quality issue, there were spots where seams just busted open as if the suitcase was dragged through the tarmac. Dropped it off at the Samsonite repair center near me and they sent it back for a replacement, got a brand new one shipped to my house in 3 weeks. 5 Stars for the warranty. I have other luggage from Victorinox and Tumi that lasted years without this issue, but they cost a lot more also. To be fair, it is a fairly light suitcase that can carry a lot and easy to be carried around, the overall quality seems pretty good. But if I could catch the sale on Tumi, I would rather pay a little more for a Tumi.

This is a beautiful color and a very spacious piece of luggage. I wanted something a bit larger than my old 22" luggage, and I wanted the spinner wheels which are great! This bag has plenty of room, along with some nice extra features. One section has a zippered plastic section for liquids. I always put lotions and gels in a ziplock bag, but this added another layer of protection from any spills. I didn't use the separate all-purpose cosmetic-type bag, but it's something some women might like. I liked the combination lock also, rather than worrying about a key. The outer surface does get dusty quickly (which is why a lot of bags are black!) but it cleaned up nicely with a handi-wipe when I returned home. The color is easier to pick out in the carousel at the end of the trip. I'd highly recommend this bag.

I liked the size and the $129.00 price of the 'Totally Teal' colored Samsonite Hyperspace Spinner 26 - and liked that Amazon ships it to my home in Puerto Rico.What I did NOT like was that the matching Boarding Bag advertised on Amazon for $49.00 was only available from Amazon in black. If I wanted it in the teal color to match my suitcase - it was available from one of their suppliers....BUT it was $160.00, and they did not ship to Puerto Rico. Very disappointing.
