HoneyGuaridan W18 Automatic Pet Water Drinking Fountain, Water Dispenser for Dogs and Cats, 2L (70 oz)

Love the idea of it but I do have some aspects I don’t like. The first of which is the actual pool of water at the top is quite shallow which I feel limits the amount of water my dog can drink.Secondly, the the pool so shallow I am very concerned that if something where to happen to the power supply, there would almost nothing to sustain them until I noticed it was no longer working.With that said I do love the product and the water capacity when it’s on.————UPDATE————After using it for a few weeks the water has started to build up above the filter. I have replace the filter twice in the space of 2 days and still seems to stop water from draining back into the reservoir. This has caused dirt to build up above the water filter in the drinking section. The only way to prevent water buildup is to remove the filter, which defeats the purpose of the machine.———Update————Was refunded full amount

This is the second one I got for my pets, I have the light version too.This one is almost the same but got no light indicators and no buttons to change mode, so a simpler version.It have a 2 litre water capacity and comes with the filter for the first month.Was easy to install and start using and I am happy as the water flow encourages my dog and cat to drink more water. They instantly started using it :)It is noiseless and easy to refill and clean.The only thing hard to do is to clean inside the little tube connected to the water pump, i am using a straw cleaning brush to reach this part.Overall very happy hence that's my end purchase.P.S. I would had got the newest version if was available but this one works as well.

Edited:Stopped working after 10 weeks or so - pump simply stopped working.Original:Fairly easy to assemble, works well (have had it for around 2 months), easy to clean, cat likes it. Only drawback is that I cannot seem to find replacement filters. Currently using without a filter but I do worry about cleanliness of water. Slight continuous humming noise when it is running.

I previously had the cat mate fountain, which if I chose to do I cud switch it off and the cats wouldStill have access to the water, with this one, once you switch it off there’s no access to the water

I find this easy to use and clean, and fairly quiet in operation (there's the slight sound of running water, as if you've left a tap on, which is louder without the water filter in place). The kittens like it, for cleaning their paws as much as drinking... and chewing the surround... I've given 4 stars as the instructions on how to place the pump are not clear, it seems to work how I've done it in the picture :)

Fab product all round,nice and quiet, great water level indicater so you can see how much water is in there,just to point out to you tho! It needs cleaning thoughly before re-filling to the top again as I have found the walls become slimy after 1 week..however I'm very happy with my purchase the top bowl were the water emerges through the hole is nice and wide and 2 cats can easily use it at the same time! and my 2 bengal cats love it..no queuing up with this gadget.

I got confused and thought this one also had the motion sensor but it doesn't. Having said that, I'm still really pleased with it. The instructions to put it together aren't that clear. You have to place the pump in the grey rubber thingy in the square and then feed the cord down the tall tube until it pops out underneath the base, pull it through until the rubber cap covers the top of the tube and then attach the usb to the plug. I don't love leaving it on all the time so I tend to switch it off if I know the cat is sleeping upstairs or something and then switch it on again if I'm leaving the area. I have to say, it's usually really difficult to get my cat to drink anything. She has a normal water bowl and a floor water glass. I have to pretend the glass is my water so she'll drink out of it (the things we do for cats) but she seems to really like this fountain and I've seen her use it often and for a long time, so I hope it helps her stay hydrated better. I'm really pleased with it. Also, my housemate thought I'd bought a very tiny (and presumably very boring) water feature to put on the floor but I think that says more about him than the fountain.

Returned I bought W18 accidentally instead of W25. The W18 cannot be unplugged easily my connection is behind skirting plinth board, w25 is easily unplugged this isnt. W18 pump on all the time its noisy and pump will die, its hard enough keeping pumps on W25 and this model switches off. FYI I opened pump casing on W25 I thought broken only find full of dog hair not captured by filter and I clean bowl every 2 to 3 days. My old W25 didnt have a piece of mesh inside pump, my newer W25 does Put back together works perfectly. For the extra 8 pounds W25 better value only pity is W25 model doesn't give water level on the bowl but W18 does. Returns for faults not as easy as seller would lead you to believe. I did have W25 replaced as pump failed at 11 months, one person in company very helpful another went out of way to be rude and just sent email after email. The replacement also came with two pin plug not three but after my experience of return I never said anything and bought adapter plug. Shame both models dont have USB plus adapter plug if needed.
