The Larsen Aurora Cello 4/4 strings offer cellists a modern, professional sound profile with warm, brilliant tones without metallic overtones. Each string features a solid steel wire core, with A & D wound with stainless chrome steel alloy, G with nickel, and C with tungsten to ensure maximum projection, stability, and durability. The medium variant provides balanced tension for precise response, harmonic balance, and excellent tuning stability. The 4-string set is perfectly matched and covers the entire sound spectrum of a 4/4 cello. Made in Europe, the Aurora series combines modern materials with traditional craftsmanship and is ideal for classical repertoire and professional performances. Review: Vast improvement - The strings are wonderful and have improved my cello sound no end. Review: Pleasure to Play - Tuned to G then gradually to A as others have mentioned snapping. Settled in very quickly and produced a rounded sound with good projection. Very easy to play, speaks quickly. I was impressed by the difference to my previous A string so ordered the D. I'll probably stick with my existing G and C Pirastro Chromcor strings. I play on an English luthier made cello.

Snapped whilst tuning - probably user error on my part.
Snapped whilst tuning. Sounded amazing to begin with though. First time stringing so may have been a user error on my part. Great value if it was my fault! Would try again with this brand as I bought the g string which didn't snap and sounded great too.

Snapped immediately
Is this a genuine Larsen? I don't remember it having the red seal on the back and it snapped immediately so was returned. Very disappointed
