So easy to read, but so profound. Truly a masterpiece.
I'm in enterprise software sales, and was recently challenged to get better at writing. It just happened to coincide with the release of Very Good Copy. I absolutely loved this book. I would recommend to anyone who uses words to communicate to pick up a copy of this book. It's simple, powerful, and supremely intentional.

No exaggeration: The best book I've ever read about life as a copywriter
The moment I saw Eddie's announcement about The Book, I added myself to the waitlist. The second I got the email that it was live on Amazon, I ordered it.No exaggeration. That's how much I trust and rely on Eddie's advice and tips. I started following VGC when I first started in marketing, nearly a decade ago. I was looking for industry pubs and trying to figure out just what the heck it meant to be a copywriter. I'd seen Mad Men, became instantly infatuated with it, and I was already in marketing as a part-time side job in college. Eddie's micro-lessons and interviews accelerated that learning, and did so in the most concise, yet impactful, totally human way.And you can see it in every single one of the lessons in The Book. It's relatable, easily understandable, and so interwoven with heart and charm that I read it all in one sitting, in the middle of a city-wide power outage. Yes, really.I didn't have an internet connection, or even basic AC in the 100+ heat of a Nebraska August. So, I sat in a lounge chair in my driveway, and I read this thing cover to cover, all 207 lessons, in one afternoon. The funny thing was, even while I couldn't put it down, just because I love Eddie's words THAT much, I did slow down. Or at least, the world slowed down around me. And I noticed things, so many things. About writing. About love. About life. All because of this book. That's what Eddie can do for you. He won't just make you a better copywriter. He won't just tell you how to be more creative or more personal. He won't just tell you how to push past self-doubt. Of course, he does. But what he really does best? He shows you the way to be a better person.I know this went on way longer than it was supposed to, but Eddie, if you're reading this, I just want to thank you for sharing your words with the world. They've helped shape my life and my career, in no small way, and it's no exaggeration when I say that you are one of the best writers, and the best people, on this planet. Well done on The Book, man.

Best book on copywriting ever
I've been working in marketing for 10+ years - and I don't think I've ever read a copywriting book cover to cover. But this one? I couldn't put down. It's smart, it's well-organized, it's a joy to read. I think I'll re-visit this one over and over again for many many years. Thank you, Eddie!

Not just for copywriters
I write this review as a lover of fine writing, and not a professional or aspiring copywriter. I learned a great deal about copywriting—the craft, the timeless history, the modern threats (AI—and that learning was only possible because the book is filled with humor, poignant personal stories (which I learned will save us from the AI robots) and snappy wit. A real joy to have read. A triumph of an anthology.

This book talks about living everyday life and everything else there is to it. Copywriting just happens to be one of the main themes. Priceless for someone like me who's just getting started on the subject.I recommend this to anyone who has absolutely no idea about copywriting. It is that and much more.

Great ideas cross oceans faster than ever!
It was great getting Eddie’s book in Portugal just a few days after its launch in the US.I am not a copywriter by trade but rather a video editor focusing on storytelling for organizations. Eddie’s teachings are invaluable in helping to get my message across.
