Pretty fun and cute project! I helped a 4 year old with it.

When I saw this DIY sparkly pen set, I knew my kids would love it. It's a bit messy, but that was expected. My girls, of course, loved it, and it kept them occupied for a good hour or so. The finished result is cute, sparkly pens with adorable characters. The quality isn't amazing, but not bad for the price. Can recommend as a stocking stuffer for the holiday season ahead.

Bought these for my 6 year old niece. She’s at the age where she’s really into notebooks and pens and loves crafting so this was so perfect for her and she absolutely loved it.

This box did not include all three toppers. The unicorn was not in the box. The funnel was also not included. :(

My 9 year old had no trouble doing this by herself. My 4 year old needed some support. The pens did not work very well as writing instruments, but that was never the point.

I brought these to work so that my team and I could make them during a team building and we 7 professionals with multiple advanced degrees could not understand, with the instructions and pictures, how we were supposed to make these pens using the instructions, and without water coming out of the pen in the step when you would lift it out of the base you had it propped in while working. As it turns out, the part we thought had an opening in it for the ink was actually sealed, and then there's a white plug, ink, and pen cap, that get screwed onto what is the top of the open pen, and the other end is actually already sealed. Basically theres a plastic tube that has what looks like a pin hole on one end and the other end is totally open and while holding open end up you pour the water and glitter into, and the skinny hole side goes into a freestanding base while you work, just to stabilize.We didn't understand that the skinny side was sealed (and that using the base is optional, just so you don't spill glitter out, remembering that this is actually a project intended for children lol) and thought water would drop out once u took it out of the base and yeah so maybe we are dumb but it was such a head scratcher. I would advise not to even use the base, or the funnels which they give you to pour into because the glitter gets stuck to the rubber funnel and doesn't all make it into your pen. As long as you cut a small corner off the glitter packets just pour it right into your pen.Once we were on a roll we had the best time and they all came out so cute!!!!! I got a few sets of these so all the men and women had their choice of pen, ink color, and what little friend (rubber topper) they wanted to put on top. I was so pleased that my team didn't think I was nuts for making this a team activity. And we have so many ink refills when we run out.These pens are fantastic for all ages!! We ranged in age from mid 20s to 50ish.
