ALASKA BEAR Sleep Mask Deep Contoured Eye Cups for Women and Men

This is probably one of my top purchases of the year. I wasn’t too confident as to how much better it would help me get to sleep, but it really did help, A LOT. I am a full time carer for my mother, which means a lot of disturbed nights and catch up naps through the day. So when it’s broad daylight, getting a power sleep can be difficult - no matter how tired I am. I can’t sleep when it’s light outside, even with closed curtains. I thought I’d get an sleep mask to see if it would help at all, and purchased this one based on the reviews, and because it has contours in place to prevent squished eyelashes and improve overall comfort. I can truly say, this is a delightful product. It’s exceeded my expectations in every way. Firstly the packaging was really professional and attractive. It came in a lovely sturdy box with a fold over lid, and included some ear plugs (really useful, also.) The product itself is very well made. The softness of the fabric is lovely, it feels gentle around the eye and luxurious to the touch. The adjustable band around the head is brilliant. I slacken it off when I have a headache and the eye mask stays in place. The eye contours are great, it doesn’t feel like there’s anything there at all. And the material that rests under the eye feels gentle enough to not be contributing to any new wrinkles! I haven’t washed the sleep mask yet, so I can’t say what it will be like after it’s freshly cleaned. But I’m sure a gentle hand washing won’t cause any harm. I can’t say that it absolutely 100% blocks out all light, there may be a teeny slither at the bridge of the nose and maybe in the periphery, but I think only a sleep mask with a suction cup function would be capable of 100% light blocking! It blocked out the light well enough for me to close my eyes and not feel as though I could still sense light around me. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the sleep mask. It did improve my sleep quality, although I was initially sceptical of it doing so. I would recommend it to anyone, get one for yourself if you are a shift worker, perhaps, or for Xmas presents when you’ve run out of ideas! In my opinion, it’s very much worth it.

* FIRST IMPRESSIONS I usually don’t need to wear a face mask in the winter but our bedroom is so bright in the warmer months it’s like being woken up by a car’s full beams every morning. I tried several but none came even close to the comfort of this one! The material is very nice and soft to touch. It has contoured eye cups which helps not putting pressure on your eyes (an issue I’ve had with others before!). * COMFORT These are bar far the most comfortable sleep mask I’ve had before! The main reason for me is that I’m a side sleeper and unlike others, this mask has the adjustable buckle at the back rather than on the sides. It makes all the difference as I found that having the buckle on the side would hurt. This is the not the case with this one and well done Alaska Bear for having thought of us, side sleepers! Another thing I really like with this mask is that is has a soft strap around the ears, which you put over, not above like others. I used to have sore ears in the morning with other masks but this one is perfect! I’m not quite bald yet but I think this might also be a good alternative for bald people due to the buckle / strap that can be moved more in the neck area than on the back of the head. * BLACKOUT EFFECTIVENESS These block the light completely when adjusted properly. It’s true from other reviews that you could see light coming in around the nose but I found that could be the case if you move at night. The way I found which helps is to tighten the strap more. I’ve not had an issue since doing that, it hasn’t changed the comfort and is completely blackout. I’ve slept until 9.30 on a Saturday today, that’s a lie-in for me these days and I’ve got to thank this mask for it. ➕ Perfect for side sleepers! ➕ 100% Blackout if adjusted correctly ➕ Most comfortable mask I've had ➖ None, love it! * CONCLUSION I can finally sleep perfectly now and I've worn it every night since I got it about 2 weeks ago. I'm happy my search is over and this is the mask I'm going to stay with. A good night's sleep is priceless and in my opinion this mask is worth every penny!

I ordered 2 masks, one for my partner and one for myself. The mask I bought for myself had the stars on it and my partner had this full black mask. When they arrived they were both quite different. The totally black mask had a larger eye coverage area, the area around the nose had more material to help block out the light, the contour parts were softer and the bag that came with it was a larger black silk bag (the stars mask included a very small organza big which was definitely not big enough. I reached out to customer service to state the the mask with the stars was not as good quality and I asked if they could send another black mask. They did this without any issues and it arrived very quickly! So for that they are a great company. I do not go to sleep with my mask on, but with the current very hot weather, the open windows mean I get waken up by the birds in the very early morning. I then know it's about to get very sunny so I put on the mask. It's very comfortable and the coverage across the eyes is great! I do often sleep on my side so on occasion the nose coverage part is pushed over and it does let a bit of light in, but I just re-adjust and it's not an issue anymore. I am definitely happy with my purchase and it's been vital in letting me get back to sleep when the sun beams into the room at 4am.

I have had this sleep mask for around 2 years now and it still works really well. It has held up nicely overall, although the strap material has started bobbling a bit over time. The molded eye cups are the best part. The hollow cut outs mean you can open your eyes without the mask pressing on your eyeballs, which makes it much more comfortable than many standard sleep masks. Sometimes a little light can get in around the nose area, but with the right tightness and positioning it is possible to block out all light. Overall, it is comfortable, effective and has lasted well.

I’ve been using the Alaska Bear sleep mask and overall, I’m really impressed. It feels really well made and durable. The material is super soft and comfortable against the skin, which makes it easy to wear for long stretches without irritation. What I love most is how well it blocks out light. Once it's on properly, it’s completely dark, which makes it perfect for deep sleep or napping on a flight. The only downside is that it doesn’t stay in place as well if you sleep on your side. It tends to shift a bit, and light can sneak in. So, I wouldn’t recommend it for side sleepers. But if you sleep on your back or need something comfy and effective for travel, this is a perfect!

Mask is very comfortable. Does not rub on eyes and is very dark. Has helped me sleep

The mask material is soft and comfortable. I'm personally not a fan of the fastenings behind the ears, although they don't bother me as much as another mask I bought. It's not a total blackout as it still lets some light in. I don't think this product is worth the extra expense I'm sure cheaper products are just as good. It arrived in a lovely box, which is a waste of packaging, with a plastic zip-lock bag. For the money, it would have been better in a material case. On the outside box, it said to email the company if I had any problems, which I did, but the email address was invalid, so all in all not very happy with this product.

I literally owe my life to this sleep mask , this is the second one I’ve bought from the same company , I lost the first one on the plane and immediately bought another one the same day. I’ve had the current mask a year now , every day wear and it’s still going strong , it’s completely blackout , has plenty of room for my lash extensions. They don’t get squished at all. The comfort is unreal , comfy band , stays on quite well all though I tend to pull it off in my sleep sometimes. Super soft squishy material but isn’t flimsy, well made. Doesn’t leave marks on my face and literally makes me sleep like a baby. I love this sleep mask so much I don’t go anywhere without it ❤️

soft and comfortable

Nice silk sleep mask. Lightweight, smooth, and soft. Totally covered light. The adjustable strap makes sizing easily. Had a nice sleep on flight.

I’m really happy with this sleep mask! It’s very comfortable to wear, soft on the skin, and blocks out the light really well. I was surprised by how much it actually helped me relax and fall asleep faster. I sometimes have trouble falling asleep, especially when there is even a little bit of light in the room, but this mask makes a noticeable difference. It creates a dark and calming environment and helps me switch off and get ready for sleep. It also stays comfortably in place during the night without feeling too tight or putting pressure around my eyes. The material feels nice and lightweight, so I barely notice I’m wearing it. Overall, I really like this sleep mask and I’ve been sleeping better since I started using it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has trouble falling asleep or is sensitive to light. Great quality and very useful!

Still can't believe I spent this much on an eye mask ($30) but I do love it. I'm obsessed with the color pink so of course I fell in love with that first, but I also love the silk material, so even if my eyes water in my sleep, the mask doesn't stick to my face, I'm also obsessed over the fact that it has wide sides so it covers my ears so my fan at night doesn't blow directly in giving me the ear infection, also the fact that it uses textured strap can be a good thing and bad thing, one I don't have to worry about it ripping into my hair and such BUT it can get dirty with hair and in my case dog fur and not want to hold a good grip to stay on.

I rarely ever write reviews, but this sleep mask is so awesome I felt compelled to express my gratitude. First off, I’m extremely picky about quality and products doing what they claim. Secondly, my head is on the smaller side so finding a mask that doesn’t fall off can be tricky. I looked at so many sleep masks and read tons of reviews before this one ended up in my cart. I work 12 hr night shift, so blocking out light for sleep (even with black out shades) is of the utmost importance. I generally have a tough time with things in my face or head and can’t even sleep with my hair down due to being a light sleeper, so finding a mask that isn’t irritating was also important. This mask blocks out 100% of light (even with all the lights on) it lifts completely off your eyes, so you can open your eyes and blink with the mask on. I wear false eyelashes so finding an eye mask that worked with lashes was also important to me. This mask fits my head without falling off and is completely adjustable. It can be made very small, medium, or even large. It is great quality all around. You can tell as soon as you open up the nice box and feel it. This mask is NOT some cheap junky piece of material with velcro. It is high quality, completely adjustable, and does not contain any velcro (many do and don’t last). This mask is not irritating to wear and the fact I can completely open and close my eyes without them even grazing the material is awesome. The price point for this product is an amazing deal in my opinion. I will be buying more for gifts to my fellow night shifter friends and a back up for myself in case I travel and lose it. If you wear a sleep mask and are in the market for a new one you can’t lose getting this one. Don’t even bother looking at the others. This is 100% honest review, I didn’t get anything in exchange for my feedback. Put this in your cart!!
