Disney's 1992 animated feature Aladdin is a triumph of wit and skill. The high-tech artwork and graphics look great, the characters are strong, the familiar story is nicely augmented with an interesting villain (Jafar, voiced by Jonathan Freeman), and there's an incredible hook atop the whole thing: Robin Williams's frantically hilarious vocal performance as Aladdin's genie. Even if one isn't particularly moved by the love story between the title character (Scott Weinger) and his girlfriend Jasmine (Linda Larkin), you can easily get lost in Williams's improvisational energy and the equally entertaining performances of Freeman and Gilbert Gottfried (as Jafar's parrot). -- Tom Keogh Disney adaptation of the traditional tale, featuring an Oscar-winning score by Tim Rice and the voice of Robin Williams as the Genie in the lamp. Aladdin (Scott Weinger), a street urchin with a pet monkey called Abu (Frank Welker), one day meets the beautiful Princess Jasmine (Linda Larkin) by chance in the marketplace after she has sneaked out of the royal palace looking for some fun. The sultan's advisor, the evil Jafar (Jonathan Freeman), who is hatching a plot to marry Jasmine and become sultan himself, senses her attraction to the youth and immediately gives orders to throw Aladdin in jail. But when Aladdin discovers a magic lamp in a cave, his quest to defeat Jafar and win the hand of the princess begins. Review: Great - Happy Review: ultimet Disney yet again that sticks to my heart like honey - Aladdin is an entirely different spin on the fairy tale genre mainly focusing on the hero rather than the heroine perspective. Genie(Robin Williams)steals the film as Disneys' most fabulous and hilarious creation ever!!! a very remarkable film that matches the likes of The Lion king, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty and Beauty & The Beast. it is visually stunning and is full of pop culture references throughout. and to top it all off...it was released on the year i was born. Aladdin is a masterpiece!

Aladdin
This is a classic. Robin Williams is the only reason to purchase and hold onto this early Disney film. I say early because animation has advanced so much since this film was done, that the fabulous repartee of Robin Williams makes it worth having. The animation can hardly keep up with his spokenl antics. It would be good to see if this one redone. They wouldn't have to change his vocal acting, just redo and animation so that it is not flat.
