Hardcastle Flip Up/Down Motorbike Chain Anchor

They are very sturdy and the build quality looks excellent but no installation instructions were provided. I would recommend making a wooden hole template fix to the wall/floor and drill through as the product is quite heavy and drilling through the product would damage the paint finish and start some rust from the get go.

Just what I wanted!A couple of tips for installation... The holes need to be very accurately drilled so I decided where I wanted/needed the ring to be and marked the first hole. Once I had the hole out to 16mm (an SDS+ drill made that very easy!), I fitted the first bolt and tightened it down gently so I could use the holes in the plate as guides for a 12mm bit that I used as pilot holes for the final 16mm ones - they lined up perfectly. Just waiting to make sure I'm 100% happy with the placement of the thing before I hammer the ball bearings into the bolt heads and glue the cover screw caps in. The sad fact is that if some #v(#£< wants it, they'll do their best to have it but this should slow them down. A lot!So happy with it that I've ordered another for another bike.

I bought this for inside our garage, as we have had some attempted break-ins this year. Luckily they didn't succeed as we have bolts on the top and bottom of the door. This is extra security for my sons motorbike. It was cheaper than other ones I saw, but just as good. My husband installed it very quickly and with ease. It may delay the little blighters from taking the motorbike, but is extra peace of mind too.

A good heavy anchor which I fastened to the concrete garage floor with the bolts provided. The ball bearings were a good tight fit in the hex headed bolts which would make removal difficult. Our 2 electric bikes are nice and secure against the opportunist thief. A determined individual with the right equipment would be able to cut through anything. I used a Sterling Gold safe secure 2 metre covered chain with a container lock.

I fitted this bracket to the front of my house as a locking point for my bicycle. It took 30 minutes! A very sturdy anchor loop and the screws/fittings provided in the kit are equally solid. This is not coming off the wall without a struggle! Would have been 5 stars if the ball bearings to fit in the screw heads were not loose (I glued them in place). Looks neat as well!
