I'll update my review if snakes come back
But so far so good. For whatever reason this summer multiple varieties of snakes had, literally, taken over my yard. Every time I went out to check my garden or pick some berries I was running into snakes and at least one type was venomous. I'd completely avoided the entire area for weeks before getting these.I bought these, and per instructions I put them out in the full sun for three days before turning them on. About a week later they're all running well(you can hear them as well as having a light at night) and I can confirm I haven't seen a single snake since. Whether there's any clear scientific evidence that these work or not, so far the results say they do.As an added bonus it seems as though squirrels might avoid the area that these are working in as well. Lizards don't seem bothered at all.

I bought for my mother in law,she has a snake issue in her yard,after she used this,it literally makes snakes go away.shes very satisfied.product is easy to use,but it doesn't keep the neighbors cat out of her flowers.

Extremely loud and dangerous for dogs
After researching the different brands on Amazon, I decided on this set because the reviews seemed the be the most real (you could tell the reviews for the other brands were all fake - posted on the same day and same tone/voice). They mentioned in the description that a very faint noise can be heard but I had no idea that they would make an extremely loud buzzing sound. I live on a golf course, and after only putting two in the ground, I walked over to the tee and could hear them plain as day. I could also clearly hear the buzzing in my house. My poor dogs were running around with their tails between their legs! According to the directions, you should add mulch to soften the sound but that did not help at all. Maybe these would work if you live in the middle of nowhere and can put them far away from your house and any civilization. Needless to say, these went right back to Amazon...I’d rather deal with the occasional black snake...

Total junk...don't waste your money
I bought four of these and initially, they worked fine. Within a few weeks, one totally stopped working. A couple of weeks later a second stopped working. About a month later the third stopped working. The fourth works intermittently. Some days it works and others it doesn't. They have all be in locations where they received direct sunlight for many hours each day to keep the batteries charged. I am sorry I bought them!

Snake Repellent
I live on an island with 6 acres of land. In June, we had already seen approximately 5 black, 1 rat and 1 rattlesnake around our home. 2 months ago I purchased 16 of these repellers and up until yesterday, had not seen a one. Yesterday I saw a black snake crawling right between 2 of the repellers. We went out and checked the repellers and they are not making any buzzing sounds. When we turn the switch, still nothing. What would cause them to stop working after 2 months? How long does the battery last?

Not Disappointed. Works for Us in Maryland
We purchased these Summer 2018. Before installing we saw at least 3 snakes and unfortunately had to kill one of them. It is now Spring 2019 and after we installed we have not seen one snake. I'd say these definitely work after have used moth balls, different sprays and sulfur.

Does it really work???
It did not work. Second day from installation, I noticed a gopher standing next to the device and minding its own business, digging! Not sure, how this device would prevent other pest!

Low quality plastic
Purchased 4 of these and received them on July 09th, by October 1st the 4 of them were no longer working, not charging, plastic peeling off. Waste of money and time. Don't purchase this cheap product. You have been advised!
