Aspen 49" Electric Fireplace in Gray Barnwood by Real Flame

This fireplace shipped very quickly and was transported by FedEx to our home. I was worried about this since I have seen some of the antics of FedEx employees and their disregard for other's property when making deliveries. I was pleasantly surprised to find the fireplace arrived undamaged in spite of this. It came in three boxes, one of which was pretty heavy, and the other two only moderately heavy.I can't emphasize enough how well this fireplace is packaged and engineered. Multiple layers of padding and multiple layers of corner reinforcement ensure a positive arrival and presentation condition. I'm grateful to Real Flame for this, as this is not exactly an inexpensive fireplace. And better than that, it's not cheap either. It's actually got real wood components.The parts are all CNC machined and pre-drilled to exacting tolerances making it difficult to assemble it any other way than perfect. I was impressed to discover the assembly pieces had been fitted with threaded inserts for the machine screws! Who does that anymore? The assembly hardware box was complete. The assembly instructions are clear and concise. My wife and I put it together in about two hours, but we took our time to make sure all the gaps were tight, took occasional coffee breaks and things fitted well. If I had any complaint about the assembly, it would be that the firebox mounting flange screw holes were not pre-drilled in the backside making it difficult to secure the firebox to the mantle frame. Very minor nitpicking.After it was all assembled, it looks stunningly beautiful. The chestnut wood has a nice weathered texture, a really dark and rich finish and the doors fit wonderfully well. The hammered black metal trim is elegant. I was shocked at how realistic the flames look. They're beautiful! You can change them six different ways using the remote control, too. I could not be happier with our purchase. You can't go wrong purchasing this fireplace kit.

Initial impression is that the unit is very nice! Took about an hour to assemble and is not too bad if you have put other furniture with the stud and quarter turn keepers together. The most difficult thing about assembly was removing the part number stickers from the wood. The part numbers helped greatly with assembly and the instructions were very clear. As far as functionality goes, this puts out quite a bit of heat. We are using it to heat an uninsulated sunroom and it warmed it up nicely and fairly quickly as well. Time will tell, but so far, I am happy....but most importantly, my wife is happy too!

Heats well, flame options are a nice touch and looks great

I have contacted the seller, so I will edit this review after I’m contacted. I was so excited to have my husband put this together tonight, then disappointed in the defects of the product. Hoping seller will fix this with either replacement parts or compensation since this unit was $700+

I was worried about buying this product. But I can say I'm very impressed. The material was as explained, not that really cheap stuff that brake as soon as you open it. Was easy to put together. Once together. It is prettier than the pictures on the internet show. They flames look so real. I highly recommend this. Amazing

I was Leary of buying such a large item online since if it was not what I expected a return would be painful and as I found out to disassemble and repack would have been impossible. That being said, this fireplace turned out to be even nicer than pictured. The size was perfect for our room and the quality and appearance is excellent. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

A little overpriced in my opinion. Does produce heat but doesn’t blow it as strongly as I’d like. The remote control has to be pressed multiple times to complete the command.Also, fireplace turns on when we use our TV remote. Not sure if that’s a glitch on our electrical end or if it’s the fireplace.Beautiful fireplace though.

I positively love this fireplace took me about 2 hrs to put together but if I can do it anyone can came. package very well came in three large boxes. The flame looks real and throws great heat, has a blower but very quit. I have it in a large room during cold days after 2 hrs I have to turn it on low. Do not hesitate to by this you will love it.
