I love this shower curtain. It is fun and playful. It will look at home in contemporary bathrooms and can be used with just about any color, although I've found it difficult to match the exact shade of gray. I thought having such a large piece of dark fabric might darken the room too much but the sequins have the opposite effect. They reflect light and shimmer as you move so the gray doesn't look drab at all.I machine washed the curtain as soon as I got it and only found one stray sequin afterward so I believe they are held on pretty firmly. They aren't the same kind of sequins that are on clothes and they look a lot more elegant than that type would. That being said, this is a shower curtain with sequins on it. It will not ever look elegant in a traditional, formal way no matter how you accessorize your bathroom, so skip this one if that's the atmosphere you're trying to create. I also agree with the other reviewers that chose not to get the coordinating pieces. I think any more sequins would move the theme from cute and fun into the realm of super tacky. The only place I could see all the pieces being used together would be a teen/young adult bathroom. I would also recommend picking out a bright, cheerful color for a few accent pieces so that your bathroom doesn't feel like stepping into a black and white movie.The fabric of this curtain is the same kind of polyester taffeta you'll find in cheap formalwear. It has a shimmer that doesn't come across in the pictures and looks a lot prettier in person. It also has a rustle to it which I like. As is the nature of this fabric, though, it takes some care to keep it looking nice. I washed mine in hopes that the wrinkles would fall out when I hung it to dry but I ended up having to use a cool iron on the whole thing. This really is a pain because you have to iron each fabric strip separately while being careful to not catch any of the sequins under the iron. It is annoying to have a shower curtain that has to be ironed. Hopefully I won't have such a wrinkle problem on the second wash since most of the original wrinkles were from being folded into the package.Despite that hassle, I really love this curtain. It will probably be hanging in my bathroom for a long time.

Wow. This thing. I laughed so hard when I opened it. It's so ridiculously sparkly. I am not a princessy type and the word "bling" makes me wince, but this thing.... I love it.It's so cheaply made. Make no mistake. This thing is selling on a department store website for like sixty smackers, that's nuts. But for this price? I will keep it. The stitching is embarrassing, and the packaging is full of engrish. You might want to reconsider using a perfectly clear liner because once you're in the shower, man that ugly stitching is hard to miss. But there is no doubt that it is awash in silver sequins and turns a normal bathroom into a glitter palace.When you open it, you need to very carefully go over it and remove the little tufts of thread that are stuck to the sequins. Some part of the manufacturing process gets those caught in there. I originally thought it was the cheap fabric unravelling, but since many of the tufts are black and none of the fabric or thread is black, it must just get picked up in the factory somewhere. It's also really wrinkled, but I'm hoping a few steamy showers will work that out because I am not ironing it.It looks pretty good as long as you're not examining the seams, and who does that anyway?

...and the ONLY reason I am changing shower curtains is because I want to change the color scheme of my bathroom. Other than that, this has served me exquisitly. I recommend to anyone needing reliability and elegance.
