Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE Color Graphing Calculator, Rose Gold (Metallic)

Big upgrade from the Ti-83 I used in school 20 years ago. Also the built in rechargeable battery is definitely a plus. This calculator can run Python scripts as well as Texas Instruments' proprietary TI-Basic. Not a feature I have much use for but nice nonetheless. Probably the best thing though is the backlit color screen. It makes graphs much easier to see than on those old monochrome and low resolution displays on older calculators. And despite inflation and all that, these calculators remain affordable. I'm very satisfied with it.

I mean, it works just fine! Its a calculator! Easy to read the display, decent battery life, and runs nicely.One thing though, there is no reason for this to be priced as much as it usually is..

I bought this Graphing Calculator for my Son’s school work and I also occasionally play around with it.The model is —TI-84 Plus CE PythonIt has a very sturdy build and it has a shell it slides into for safekeeping when not in use.It requires to be charged once a week or so. It is pretty good at holding charge.This model can handle Python code although I have not explored it yet.It has a large screen with brightness control.It is excellent for graphing, scientific calculations and also for engineering school students.

This calculator is perfect. It gets pretty much every job done. I bought it for my kid for Pre Calculus and AP Chem. The price is pretty expensive but it's a good calculator so I'd say it's worth it.

The TI‑84 Plus CE is an excellent calculator for students from high school through early college. It balances modern features (color, rechargeable battery, more memory) with the trusted reliability and intuitive interface of TI‑84’s. If you want something that will serve you through algebra, geometry, transitions into calculus or statistics, and still work under test conditions, this one is a fantastic choice.

So after 3-ish years of having this calculator, I can confirm that it works for all my calculating needs and is still working without any issues. It is also quite durable in that I have dropped it a few times, yet I don't notice any issues resulting from it. The screen is still bright and colorful with no dead pixels or anything like that. HOWEVER, when I first got this calculator, it came with the screen "memory/REM cleared" and a tiny mark, if that makes sense. Regardless, this would be a five-star review if it mentioned that it was previously used/refurbished. This fact might be why it is offered for less than stores like Staples/Walmart/Target/etc. However, transparency is quite important; thus if you care that its refurbished or not, buy it elsewhere. Want to be more sustainable? Get it from amazon.
