These are very bright. And very loud. The kids took them trick r treating and they looked great.

I almost gave 4 stars but son't want to knock a star of because these are cool my kids loved them, but you cannot turn the sound off and it is loud. Well you can have the sound off but then you don't have lights. I really wish that the switch had a setting for lights only and the sound was optional. I wanted to keep them but my son liked them too much and it was just a bit much with the noise. Going to return and look for ones that have the switch or are lights only.

Great for halloween costumes. The lights work great. Good enough value for the money.Not sure how long the sword would last in the hands of a sword-wielding kid, they are made of lightweight plastic.As many other reviews have pointed out, the sound effect is really annoying. I opened the battery compartment and cut the wire leading to the “speaker” (see photos). Problem solved.

Grand baby loves his swords

My son loved them for the few weeks they worked. They are super cheap and obviously over priced once you get to see them. They were broke in no time. My special needs son who loves power rangers and sword play, tore these up by falling down with one and the other got broken when my older son played swords with him and they clanged them together. So, don't get these thinking some kids can actually clang swords or they will be broken super quick. The lights were okay and the sounds were super annoying but, they didn't last long and stopped working prior to the swords even being broken. I doubt I would buy these again unless they were $5 for both!

These are great. Keep in mind they're cheap toys and they wouldn't last 5 seconds if you actually tried sword fighting with them. That said, they look really cool when lit up and my kid loved it for a ninja Halloween costume. I bought a two-pack thinking they might not live more than a couple of days being as cheap as they are. I only opened one and kept the other one a secret backup "just in case". Well the one I got out has been played with regularly for over a month and has no issues. Sword #2 is still in the box hiding. The noises are cool...but they get annoying really fast and may not be appropriate for all environments. I wish there was a switch to disable the sound. That's my only complaint.

This product indeed shows a decent light when the sword is on, allowing both motorists and monsters to keep clear of young Ninjas on Halloween night. Not sure if it keeps away monsters in broad daylight, but in the hands of a good Ninja it will leave a smarting ouchie on the hands or arms of attackers. Maybe better for 6+ age range because of the hardness of the plastic blade. Batteries are included, a nice touch, so Ninjas may commence battle immediately upon delivery.

Good for the money. Bought as a gift for my nephew. Quickly learned that little boys will drive you crazy swinging swords around and screaming like a ninja. This year for his birthday he’s getting books to read. No more violent toys will ever be bought with my money! Ugh! But if you like this sort of thing-it’s a good buy. I encourage non violent gifts. I think all boys that want to play with guns, knives, or swords should be automatically enlisted in the service where they can play with them all they want!
