You can get more creative automatically, too, with the camera's five Vari-Program scene modes. Each mode optimizes the camera's settings for the most popular types of photography, leaving the photographer free to concentrate on the subject. They include Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Sports Continuous and Night Scene. 3-Area Dynamic AF System To help you capture natural movement, Nikon designed the N55 with its Dynamic AF system with three focus areas that cover a wide picture-taking field to help insure sharp pictures, even when the subject is not in the center of the frame. Dynamic AF Technology uses all three sensors to maintain focus on subjects that move within the AF sensor area. The N55 selects corresponding AF sensors and maintains focus at 1.5 frames per second. Pre-wind film loading ensures the film is already back in the cassette at the end of the roll. 3D Matrix Metering This exclusive Nikon metering system measures the entire image, analyzing details of light and contrast.
