My husband and I recently cut the cord from traditional cable/satellite tv and went all in with Roku. Being new to Roku we purchased a system with a simple remote which does not control the tv. As luck would have it, the remote to our older Vizio smart tv stopped working so I looked around for an inexpensive universal remote that would just work for on/off, volume and other basic controls. I was happy to find this one which was very affordable and was advertised to work on many Vizio models. I was a little concerned at first, it didn't come in a box, just a padded envelope, and there were no instructions, but it did come in a plastic bag and also had a protective plastic covering the entire remote so when I removed it the remote looked shiny and new. It didn't work initially, so I thought I'd be returning it, but before doing so, I returned to the Amazon site and found a couple of reviews that talked about correct battery placement and I discovered I had done it wrong. Once I fixed the placement to one up and one down as shown in the picture. It worked right away. Thank you so much to those who took the time to speak about the battery placement in their reviews, it helped me and might help others also. All the features of the remote work perfectly. It has a comfortable feel in my hand and the buttons feel and work just fine. We're happy. Only time will tell how long it will last, but we're hopeful.

Exactly like the one that came with the tv. Works great

I have an older Visio non-smart tv, and the remote stopped working. The Visio site does not offer this replacement. The remote from my Visio smart tv works, but it behaves weirdly when I attempted to change inputs. I was surprised at the great price, and it's exactly like my other one. It works flawlessly. It was indeed new and arrived quickly.

Arrived shrink wrapped in a manner that did not look professional, no box, no instruction manual. Tried many batteries, different ways because there are no instructions, new batteries, just simply did not work. Looks and acts poorly made.

I got this remote for my good friend as an exact replacement for their older 32" Vizio television. It worked as soon as I provided batteries.
