The Elbow Protector can be used before and after surgery and chronic arthritis ie. Osteoarthritis, OCD, Ligament Injuries, Arthritis, ED and other assessments. When the dog appears to be troubled by its elbow joints, the most common symptom is lameness or stiffness, which they can then ease by moving about a bit. When dogs exhibit these symptoms, an elbow protector is the ideal solution in connection with the end of a training session in order to exert counter-pressure on subsequent swelling. Furthermore, the protection also contributes with increased heat, thus providing the muscles with better oxygen supply and better circulation conditions. For many dogs, the elbow protector can be decisive in how well they can adapt to their joint problems. It counteracts pain, swelling and gives muscles a chance to rest correctly. The elbow protector is fastened above and under the joint with the aid of two Velcro bands that run through loops in the protector so that it does not slide down the leg.

shoulder and chest which might cost a little more but it will be 10 times better and remember don't be cheap with your dogs health
This product is Way over price so if you buy it make sure your sitting down when you open the package. I have an Irish setter and the large don't fit. It won't stay on. If you have a short hair dog and willing to pay the out outrageous price then it might work. I think if I really need to put this on my dog I will have to cut her hair 4 inches above and below the elbow and maybe it might work. My option is if you really care for your dog and you really need this then buy one that goes over the neck, shoulder and chest which might cost a little more but it will be 10 times better and remember don't be cheap with your dogs health.

elbow support
we tried the elbow support for our dog with arthritis and he seemed in more pain with in on than off. we tried again and he limped greater with it on. The brace is neoprene and supports the elbow joint. I am unsure why this didn't help but we tried several times and he finally refused to walk with it on. This this should be great for elbow support but for Shadow it just didn't do the trick for him.

This was perfect and the price was very good and enabled the ...
My shepherd hurt his elbow during the winter snow and the vet suggested looking for something to stabilize his leg while it healed; but warned me that front elbows did not usually have too many options as far as braces go. This was perfect and the price was very good and enabled the dog to heal and it is easily removed if in a situation that would cause it to get wet.

Good concept, but needs improving
I have used this for 2 days. If my Boxer is inactive in the house seems to stay on. When I walk him on a short leash, i.e. no running, it starts to slip and the top nylon strap stays up, but then starts to cut into his leg. I think this would work a lot better with either wider upper and lower velcro straps or single large velcro strap. I am going to try to modify the straps to make this work better.

Best elbow brace I have tried for my Aussie
My Aussie loves it when I put this on him. Seems to really help. I think I ordered it too big for him but I'll make it work. Very durable, well made item

Great Protection, easy to adjust, comfortable
These are for good protection for Bailey’s elbows. They are easy to adjust for a more or less snug fit. They don’t cause him any chafing and are comfortable

Sizing scale should be re-evaluated.
Product sizing is poor. It stated the size for a large Lab. My lab is 90lbs, that’s a large lab considering the breed standard is 50-65lbs. It doesn’t even sit on his elbow, it just falls off. So bummed.

Disappointing!
It is useless. $32+ wasted. I keep trying to use it and should have returned it long ago.

Works great. Doesn't affect his walking.
Very efficient customer service. Took a while for delivery but the customer service was very good. Fits my Doggo a treat :)His right leg is pinned from surgery as a young pup. This will protect him from his clumsy nature.FYI Medium fits my Staff x Boxer very well. It's also stretchy which is great
