Quality materials and design
The ingenious design of this trash can has no seams in the corners where they might wear or come apart. Instead each of the four side pieces folds at the corners and then slide together on the sides. The top and bottom pieces are screwed into the sides. The multi-piece top and bottom stay securely closed to keep critters out. I already have the Keter grilling table/cabinet with the stainless steel top, so I’m not surprised at the quality.

Solid product, documentation could be better, excellent customer support!
This is a good product, it is compact in its footprint for it's volume. There are a few technical issues, but for the price it's a good value and seems very sturdy.Know that this is a flatpack item and that it takes some assembly effort, I'd say an hour plus. The instructions could be a little more clear on what direction the corner panels are supposed to bend because getting that wrong can cause a bit of a mess. After assembling two of these and dealing with a part that got broken during shipping and watching a few YouTube videos here's some info:The instructions aren't clear on this but the panels are specifically supposed to bend at 90 degrees in only one direction, the correct bend direction is the one that leaves you a smooth curve on the outer corners, not an accordion-like profile on the outside. If you see them "accordioning", then you have bent them backwards so stop what you're doing and reverse it. After you get the first one in there the rest fit together in the correct orientation. When you bend everything in the correct direction everything lines up quite smoothly, no banging should be required. It should fit together snuggly with a firm push when everything is aligned correctly. So double check everything at each step to be sure things are aligned properly.Mine arrived with a cracked lid piece and some damage to 2 of the panels, it kind of looked like the box got dropped during shipping. Anyways, after a brief back and forth with Nancy and Kelly from the Keter support team, they were able to get me sorted with a replacement. The packaging could be a little more robust, but I live in a place where packages tend to get knocked around a bunch due to the amazon guys being very busy and it being a commercial area. So, before you start assembly, I suggest giving all the parts a once over to make sure things are intact. The garbage can is good, especially for the price, It fits the amazon brand 40 gallon bags perfectly, 28 or 30 gallon bags will be kind of suspended as they wont reach the bottom. Go with these ones or something similar: https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-Drawstring-Gallon-Previously/dp/B095PM2HG9Also, there is a bit of a rebate on the rim that, as other reviewers and people on YouTube have pointed out, can sometimes snag / tear the bag and/or make it hard to remove. I haven't used it enough to know for sure how big an issue this is, but I took a bit of advice off YouTube and covered the inside of the junction between the panels and the lid with some wide aluminum duct tape which makes the bags less likely to snag when they are full and you are removing them.I used this stuff but any duct tape should work: https://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Insulation-Adhesive-Temperature-Ductwork/dp/B0B3GMF1XSOnce you have everything tightened up the thing feels extremely sturdy. Thanks again to the Keter Support Team!

Great for outdoor trash
These are easy to put together and very durable. I bought two in summer of 2023 for a party. They held up so well I decided to use them for another party this summer in 2025 and because the second party was larger, I just knew I needed 2 more.

Trash Can is Great. Instructions could be vastly improved!
It's an attractive, sturdy trash can. We have just finished assembly (challenging) and have yet to actually use it but it seems, at least theoretically, that it will be a great addition to our fire pit.

Nice!
This is a very nice trashcan. Easy to assemble large enough to hold a gathering worth of trash. Functions as it should and lid closes and stays. Dogs haven’t been able to open it. I like It .

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE DESIGN!!!! Engineering 101....
As stated by a couple of other reviewers, there is a SERIOUS design flaw. I'm honestly very surprised that there are SO MANY positive reviews on these things. You really don't think about the issues until you go to pull your first, full bag out. The top piece (containing the bag retainer and lid) snaps over the top of the sidewalls. This leaves a lip on the outside and inside of the trashcan walls. The lip doesn't create any issues on the OUTSIDE of the trashcan, but the lip on the INSIDE of the trashcan is a VERY MAJOR PROBLEM. This problem is a HUGE one if you throw away anything with any more weight than cotton balls. I own a bar, and I bought these to put in an outdoor venue. The trashcans are sturdy, and nice looking enough for sure.... but with a full bag of beer cans/bottles it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove the bag from the can. The lip renders the simple task of sliding a full bag out of the can, into an impossible task of fighting with a torn, and mutilated bag as you try to pull it past the lip. Engineering 101. Just WOW!!!! Another negative issue is that the lid, when fully closed, snaps into place. When you are dealing with the general public (drunk public at that), in a dimly lit outdoor venue, it's almost impossible for them to figure out how to unsnap the lid to open it. This means that their trash ends up on the ground next to it. This was an easy workaround for me though. All I did was heat the plastic snap and bend it forward so that it wouldn't snap into place. The sad part is that I purchased two of these, and for $60 each, is it really worth it for me to disassemble/re-box them for a return? Not really. I'll probably just use them to store my cotton balls....
