I just ordered 2 Evergreen Pet Supplies 100 Watt UVA UVB Mercury Vapor Bulb/Light/Lamp for Reptile and Amphibian Use - Excellent Source of Heat and Light for UV and Basking for each of my Russian tortoises. 3.5"l x 1.25" h x 1.75"w. I have mine set in the substrate. My Russian tortoises haven't touched theirs. Hope this helps. Kim

My tortoise would have nothing to do with this. i even shaved off some thinking it might be to big but nothing helped i tossed it away.

Q: Does this help to trim their beaks?

I'm not sure. I purchased this for my hatchling leopard tortoise but he didn't show any interest.
