Vanicream Ointment 0.32 oz (Pack of 6)

This is a great maintenance treatment for eczema related rashes and irritations. Originally recommended by my son's allergist, we have used vaniply products for his delicate skin for 4 years. This emollient is like a better version of Aquaphor, in my opinion. It is dimethicone based but is better handled and longer lasting than Vaseline or Aquaphor for my kids. I have the large 1lb tub for after baths in my bathroom, and I carry the small tubes in my purse for after my kids wash their hands. My 7-year-old has also been taking a small tube to school in his pocket for when his skin gets dry and itchy between his fingers, which is a big concern for him as he is lacking a naturally occurring moisture barrier.

This is the only lip balm that works for my lips! I have very sensitive lips that will break out in rashes, peeling skin, etc. and I’ve tried probably 50+ lip balms. This is the only one that does not irritate my lips. I use it faithfully! And these travel size tubes are very convenient!

By now, I should be an expert on skincare products. Our 10-year old son was born with moderate to severe eczema and we've tried so many products that I could write a book on the best.We bought Vaniply to specifically target the skin around our son's lips. For about a year now, we've managed to keep eczema under control except in this area. Because the skin around his lips gets dry often, he licks them which forms a red ring of anger around them. We've used Aquaphor for years but it just stopped being effective. We switched to pure Lanolin for a bit and it while it worked great initially, it didn't take long for it to be ineffective. Stumped on what to try next, we went to National Jewish Hospital (our skincare experts in Denver) for help. They recommended Vaniply and gave us a few free samples. We were hooked.Vaniply is from the makers of Vanicream, which is probably the single best lotion our family has ever used. We use the lotions and sunscreens. None of the Vanicream line products cause irritation or allergic reaction (which is quite common in our family.) We were psyched to try Vaniply ointment because our doctor explained that it doesn't have alcohol or Lanolin. Alcohol can cause irritation and Lanolin can often cause a build-up of resistance with long-term use (which we found to be true with our son.)I love the way Vaniply feels on my lips and so does our son. It's silky and smooth and doesn't have a smell. It stays put for a long time. I've replaced every bottle of Aquaphor and Lanolin in our home now. We're psyched to make this one our standard. The only thing I would change about these little .32oz tube is to have the top attached somehow. Because the container is small and the top is tiny, we drop it a lot. We love the larger 2.5oz tube the best but this one is great for pockets and backpacks.

This was recommended by the dermatologist for my teenage son. He takes meds that dry out his skin and makes his lips chap and peel. If you have any condition that your lips crack, peel, bleed, etc. This is a great product to purchase. I purchase the three-pack so he can keep one in his pocket, the bathroom drawer, and a bag (lunch box or backpack/purse for girls). It does not have a scent really and no taste. Not really greasy either. Just an excellent product and does what it says.

I bought this after a recommendation from a dermatologist and it has been amazing for my dry flaky skin on my lips, face and body. The tube keeps everything clean and I like it better than the pots. Really helps when my skin is dry from the tretinoin. Can use it anywhere on the body so the dermatologist was right!

This product is fantastic ! My lips got severely burned on vaca to tropical place - I used mutiple times a day and this helped with dryness and cracking and peeling - I use nightly and I’m so happy with product - a little pricey - but worth it

I have to soak my eyelids in hot water two minutes twice a day for dry eye syndrome. My Ophthalmologist suggested this product. As I am applying it, I can feel the moisture go back into my eyelids. It seems to do the trick. I am happy with the results.

Love this product! Other chapsticks didn't suffice as I had to endlessly apply more ointment on my lips and it never seemed to satisfy. Vaniply actually moisturizes my lips! Best I've tried yet.They've rebranded and changed packaging since I first used it to Vanicream. Accidentally ordered the version that had sunscreen on it which was awful because it leaves a garish silver sheen on your lips, but this one is just like it was before. Highly recommend if you have trouble with chapped lips.I give 4/5 stars because after some time, the tube encasing the ointment starts to leak out the sides of the cap when you squeeze it out. One tube I left on the table where the sun shines every day started leaking after just a week or two. Another tube that I had carried around in my pocket for a week and then left on my counter in the shade started leaking after about a month or two since I had first started using it. In spite of the less quality packaging compared to when it was Vaniply, I still highly recommend!
