I wasn't sure at first which one would work, but measured the chair, this one fit perfectly and it took me about 2 minutes to uninstall the broken one and put this one in. Worked perfectly and looks exactly like the one I had. Can't tell that it was replaced.

I bought a “cuddlecliner” from Big Lots about 2 years ago. Yesterday the handle broke.I thought i would have to shell out another 800 and buy a brand new recliner. I found this, it said it was universal and looked similiar to the one on my recliner.Took me 15 minutes to install, i have an issue pulled out the plastic piece around the cord, had to practiclaly cut it off, once i did that would the old cord, this handle slid right in and works perfectly.I dont even know the make of the recliner, but this piece must be very universal, as it is exactly the same one i had.

I didn't have to replace the cable, only the lever. The notch that the cable fit into was slightly too small, so I had to shave some plastic off to make it fit, but it was super easy!! This is working perfectly and is sturdier than the original. I watched a couple of YouTube video for detailed instructions. I highly recommend this item.

Install is straight forward, it is not any better than the one that came on the Slumber-Land recliner & Sofa we purchased a year and a half ago. That being said I am expecting another year and a half. There was a small crack in the clip that latches to the steel frame of the internals, so that may last less time. The hand latch mechanism is as pictured, and the clips for wire retention are non painted steel vs the original painted ones. Even the original one had no wear on that part, the old one broke where the wire slots into the plastic retainer on the back of the handle. This one is also plastic there so that is why I don't expect more than I got out of the original.

I’m on here buying another one after 11 months the replacement broke! Worked great while it lasted

*Update- comments regarding tools are strange. I used a simple phillips head screwdriver to remove the old and attach the new part to the sides of the rcliners and a pair of wire cutters to squeeze the tabs inside the bottom of the recliner to remove the old one. I needed no other tools and it works beautifully! *This was extremely easy to replace. So much so that I ordered one to test and then ordered the second one! It was difficult finding instructions and took a bit for my common sense to kick start due to fear of crushing my hand in the recliner. Once I figured out what I was doing it was very simple. I would encourage to add either a link to a YouTube video for this specific type or even simple instructions of how to get the recliner open. Others may be worried at first as I was that I would get my hand caught during the release. (which was not likely to happen now that I know). Still give it 5 stars! Took less than 10 minutes to replace.

Installed this into our Ashley couch and it only lasted about about 3 weeks before failing. Also, the cable was too long for this couch as once it was installed, there was slop in the mechanism. Normally when you pull the lever, there is resistance right away. In this case, I had to move the lever about a third of the way before I felt any resistance to where it was releasing the foot rest. This was the second one of these release levers that I ordered... and failed in a short amount of time.

slipped right in - two screws and it's done! It works better than new. My recliner isn't just a luxury, it's really a hospital bed for me, and when the cable broke I was losing sleep. But I ordered it on Saturday and it came on Monday, 5 minutes to install and life is good! I think I may buy another to tuck up inside in case it ever happens again (although it works so smoothly I imagine some flaw in the original isn't there in this replacement, and maybe it will last forever)
