Read It Yourself the Elves and the Shoemaker: Level 3 Ladybird, Ladybird

I have always loved this story of the kindly elves who secretly helped out the elderly shoemaker. I bought the ladybird book for my almost 5-year old, who has just started out to read. We tried a level 1 in the ladybird series (the big pancake) and I thought that was too simple for my daughter's current reading capability. The level 3 is a little more challenging for her, so works perfectly. Big letters, nice illustrations, and an overall good buy.

Very interesting story. Even I like reading this to my daughter who absolutely loves it and a must read for her everyday. Amazing quality, content, language and illustrations.

How refreshing to find a fairytale with such a simple, yet heart warming theme. Good quality pages, lovely illustrations, it is perfect for my 4.5 year old. It is a small book though, pages are small. My lil one finds it compact, so no issues there

This is the fourth book that I bought for my grandson. He likes it very much and as he can't yet read himself he does know if we say a word wrong or miss any bits out !!

My children love the Read it yourself series and this was another lovely little book to add to their collection.

My little grandson loves this story, as did my own children, a perfect bedtime read. Lovely to still find children's books that don't contain violence or scary monsters.
