Quality and product adequate

I am a practicing machine shop engineer having CNC machines. I purchased this book for training purposes, looking at its title. But this book has highly disappointed me. The book's forward was written in 1994 and it's content is based on technology of 1980s. It is a fairly thin book, only 145 pages.This book does not contains even a block diagram of CNC machine operation. In the chapter titled " components of numerical control system", it give information about punched cards, magnetic tapes & discs, punched tape etc which are relics of the past and are irrelevant today. It teaches that ac or dc motors are used in cnc machines, not a hint of servo motors.The cover of this book shows a CNC Wire ERM machine. But not any mention of Wire EDM machines in any chapter. This book is written by college professors who have never operated a real CNC machine.If any persons ,unknow to CNC reads this book for learning, he will get a big zero. Avoid at all costs.

A one of the most easiest book to grasp and understand about CNC machine. I will personally recommend you all to buy this book
