Audyssey ACM1H Calibration Microphone for Onkyo Denon Marantz

A great item, works well, really made a noticeable improvement in the sound quality. This model is different then the little disk my old "Oinkyo" TX-SR508 had but it works fine. It's just under 3 inches tall and really lightweight so the camera tripod mount on the bottom is essential. The only Con is the price, I'm embarrassed to admit I paid Amazon $40.00 for this - but it will get used again when the room changes, new couch / curtains / carpet / etc.

I purchased this for a second hand Onkyo TX-NR809 after I had enough of menu diving and button mashing to adjust the EQ/distance, etc and still not getting the sonic quality and tonal balance I was looking to achieve. I was shocked, amazed, and pleasantly surprised with the results after the full calibration. While it's certainly effective, I feel that it is overpriced considering what it is and the build quality. Your mostly paying for the name, this thing is probably worth $10-$15 in reality. Mine came in black rather than the gunmetal in the picture but I'm not complaining.

It is the name brand authentic setup mic for mid to high end home theater receivers with audyssey technology, it will get the best possible sound out of your components. Good experience with seller, no delays, I'm happy with this purchase and will use this seller again.

Still have my Onkyo receiver. Somehow lost my Audyssey calibration tool. This is the exact same tool that came with my receiver in 2010. Works great - got my receiver and speakers tuned appropriately. Easy to install and use. Highly recommended.
