Great for the money.
This is a good flagpole for the money. There are a couple dents in the pole tubing from shipping, which can be expected I suppose. So I am concerned those might be weak points in high wind. The pole does sway a couple feet in any given direction in wind. The top ornament and truck (Cap and roller) is made out of plastic and not metal.I cannot complain for the money, it was easy to setup and get the flag flying. We replaced an older aluminum pole that had cracked in half from 70 MPH winds earlier this year. The older pole we had did not taper at the top and the cap/truck was metal. But I was unable to find an equivalent pole to that one.At this price, if this pole lasts a couple of years, it wouldn't break the bank to replace it considering permanent poles can be several thousands of dollars.

antenna tower :)
i got 3) 30' poles & used the pipes to make a 60' pole.. nothing in the ground.. it just sits thereguyed it in 3 places with maxgain systems guy rings n rope..it snapped twice in high wind maybe because my guys were not at 120 degrees.. first time i lost 4 inches of pole is all.. next time it bent 2 poles..i redid the guys to 120 degrees & have it up at 45ft.. guyed at 20 & 40ft. after the guys are the right length i can lift it into place by myself.. it's a lil scary but doable. my flag got wrapped around my ham radio antenna i put on top.. wb9ybi

Awesome!
I bought the 30 foot pole and ended up removing one of the sections. I sank the bottom pole three feet and filled the hole with about 400 pounds of concrete. I also filled each pole with expandable foam and used self-tapping screws to connect each section. There is some sway, but nothing too bad. Very happy!

Some materials not quality
Instructions on this Amazon site were better than the enclosed instructions which combined the 6.5’, 16’, 20’, 25’, and 30’. But you are not going to remember this if the flagpole box sits in your garage for a few months till you find the right time to install it. The aluminum poles were not labeled so you do have to do a bit of trial/error to make sure everything is installed in order. The materials used are not exactly as high quality as expected. The truck-mounted pulley system is made of cheap plastic that I hope lasts a long time. The plastic cleat also seems like it won’t last past several years. Instead of including that cheap excuse for an American flag, they should have spent money using metallic parts for those items just mentioned. The carabiner snaps were cheap and its spring snapped on the first day.Additional accessories recommended: swivel snap fasteners to better secure your flag to the rope; beaded retainer ring to keep flag close to the pole; and a better flag.

Great Value If You're Willing To Improve It
The pole is already the thickest in it's price range. But having a previous pole snap in half after 2 days, I realized that the extra thickness is still not going to be enough for two flags flapping in medium winds. To fortify the strength of the pole, I purchase two steel poles from HD to insert inside this flag pole. The two poles from HD were 10' each, (adjust accordingly if you purchase the 20' or 30' pole). One of the steel poles was for the bottom part of the pole, and obviously a thicker diameter than the pole for the top half. Between the two steel poles, I placed two rolled up rags with a wood spacer between them. This prevented the smaller steel pole from sliding down into the bottom one. Before assembly, I placed the bottom pole piece into the cemented sleeve and drilled a whole through the sleeve and post. Then I placed a bolt through the hole to secure the flag pole to the cemented sleeve. This will prevent (hopefully) the pole from lifting out of the sleeve during strong winds. Next, I assembled the next two bottom pieces together and slid the steel pole down the center. Then I secured the top pieces of the flag pole and slide that smaller steel pole into the top piece. Next, I stuffed the rags into each of the two sections of the poles where they would be joined together. From there, assemble the rest of the pole. With at least two people, insert the inner steel pipe, while it's inside the flag pole, into the secured base piece and let it rest on the bolt. Then continue to hoist the pole into position.A few words of caution. Even with the inner poles being strengthened, the pole does sway in the winds. Even with one flag on it, there is a lot of movement. Next, the stupid plastic rope cleat is a joke. Mine cracked in the first week. That alone knocked a whole star off the review. They should have included a metal one and charged us an extra dollar. Stupid move on their part to cause us to have to spend the time and money to replace it. At the same time, the pulley system is also plastic and I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks too under the pressure of high winds. Next, the flag clips are also cheap. They'll work for starters, but really should be replaced early on. The rope itself appears to be okay for maybe a season. I'm sure under extreme heat, the thing will begin to dry up and fray. I'm hoping to get 6 months of summer use out of it before replacing it with something stronger. Finally, the flag itself. I understand that not all people will be flying the supplied flag. But if your intention is to fly the American flag - buy a new one. The one supplied would be best hanging in the garage.Search for these upgrades:Anley Vintage Style Tea Stained American US Flag 3x5 Foot Nylon - Embroidered Stars and Sewn Stripes - 4 Rows of Lock Stitching - Antiqued USA Banner Flags with Brass Grommets 3 X 5 FtAnley Vintage Style Tea Stained Betsy Ross Flag 3x5 Foot Nylon - Embroidered Stars and Sewn Stripes - 4 Rows of Lock Stitching - Antiqued Early USA Banner Flags with Brass Grommets 3 X 5 FtSolar Flag Pole Light 111 led Light, Super Bright Flag Pole LED, Solar Powered Flag Pole Lights for Longest Lasting Upto 10 Hrs, LED Downlight up Flag on Most 15 to 25Ft 100% Flag Coverage LED(Black)NQ Flag Snap Clips for Rope -2 Pack Heavy Duty Bronze Brass Flagpole Snaps Hooks with Swivel Eyelet, Flag Pole Hardware to Attach with Rope, Dog Chain, Leather Craft.… (2pieces, Black)

Easy Install
Hardest part was digging hole 3 ' down!! I drilled the base piece and put a long bolt thru it so concrete would get a better grip! Sways a bit in strong wind, so may put smaller Cdn. flag on it. I set it up for 2 flags & use the American one [that comes with it] when I have visitors. Make sure you have base pipe in straight as quick set concrete is true to it's name!!!

Good purchase - would recommend to friends
Exactly what I expected! The free flag is just OK, not the best quality but I had it up and proudly flying in no time at all. The pole is light weight but strong.
