When you are drowning in a broken heart, how do you feel love again? Sea of Scars is the debut book of contemporary Canadian poet, Adriana Mara. Divided into four chapters, she shares a collection of poems on drowning, sinking, rising, and swimming in the sea of love. Based on her depth of personal experience in heartbreak, depression, lust and passion she teaches you to find beauty in your scars. You’ll feel and embrace your own experiences as you read these verses, and find hope and excitement in the power of your heart. Review: A breath of fresh air, creative and well written. You will feel the emotions on every page. - This is a beautiful collection of poetry. I loved how it was divided into the sections and felt as though each poem was in the right section for its tone. This book takes you on a journey of heartbreak, depression, lust and passion, making you feel so many emotions along the way. Anyone who is or has ever been in love, been heartbroken or just has someone they long to be with, can pick up this book and find something to latch on to and relate to. Love is an amazing and complex feeling and if you want to discover love, go and get this book, it's so full of raw emotion. Amazing! Review: Wow. - Amazing. She makes you really feel and understand. For people complaining about the shorter poems, maybe you shouldn't read poetry. (Haha, but for real) Poetry comes in many forms and if you don't already know that, you probably shouldn't be buying poetry books, especially the ones coming out more recently. I haven't even finished this yet and just from the first section, I am amazed. If I had to recommend this to a specific audience, I'd start definitely with women. Then I would say those that would relate the most are women who have been cheated on and also those who have been "the other woman." Great read. Men could also get some insight if they are interested...

I Relate Too Much
This book is a powerful, introspective exploration of grief, trauma, and personal transformation. The novel uses a unique, almost meditative style to evoke a sense of emotional depth and vulnerability. The author’s lyrical prose and vivid imagery immerse the reader in a world of haunting beauty, where the sea becomes a symbol of both pain and healing. The book’s focus on emotional landscapes of a reading experience, though its slow pace might not appeal to everyone. Still, it is a haunting and thought-provoking meditation on the complexities of the human experience.

If you're looking for a light at the end of the tunnel
Great collection of poems. The book really takes you on a journey - a journey all have likely been though. You can really connect with what the author was going through. It was very empowering to ready; it shows how that raw emotion and pain can bring you strength and growth, and make you ready to feel all over again. Worth a read again and again. Looking forward to more from the author.
