I've only had it a week so it's a little early to give 5 stars but there is nothing about this product I don't like. The wooden pieces seem durable and are nicely stained and finished. The magnetic attraction to the board is light enough that you can move the pieces easily but they don't fall off even if you hold the board upside down. The latch works fine, the case has nice "slots" for the pieces to individuality fit in, the size is small enough for easy carry and big enough for easy visibility. The is a well thought out, well-made, and very affordable product.

It was supposed to be gift for thanksgiving day, but grandma wraped for Christmas Day, now the kids like their christmas gifts.

I needed something bigger and magnetic with storage for my 6 year old who had a sudden interest in chess. I didn't want to spend a fortune though so when i came across this I was very pleased. Looks great and it's very practical. My son loves it as well :)

Be careful in how you pack the chess board when traveling. Little pressure will permanently bend the playing surface.

This is neither too small or too big. Right size for my 6 year old. It would have been great if the rows were marked for a to f and columns ( 1 to 8)Pieces snugly fit into the storage. So it does not make a sound(when you carry).

It’s a wonderful gift for my 7 year old daughter, she just start to learn the chess, it made with great quality, I bet she will love it!
