I'm not sure what the other reviewers were talking about ...
I'm not sure what the other reviewers were talking about here. The quality of this is disappointing and the price is outrageous. As for the quality, it uses a magnet at the top that is too thick to allow the machine to close, which they were clear about on the product description, what they don't mention is that its enough of a gap that the machine actually pops open when placed in a bag. The second issue is that the magnet at the top and the unadhered portion at the bottom results in a tiny gap between the privacy screen and display at both of these sections. This puts the screen contents out of focus everywhere except the middle. Alternative privacy screens use adhesive strips to address this instead. The price of this product is also ridiculous, and increased by another $15 since i bought it. The benefit of being first to market I guess? I haven't decided if I'm going to return it, but even at $54 I don't think it was worth what was paid.

I LOVE it but you might HATE it and here is why:
I LOVE it but you might HATE it and here is why:My main reason for buying this screen filter was not to have privacy against people who are sitting next to me. I wanted this screen to kill the reflections on my screen and it does that very nice!! But what it doesn't do is preventing people who sit next to you to see your screen. The screen will just get a tiny bit darker for people who are looking at your screen while not being exactly in front of it but they will still be able to see everything. So if your primary reason of buying this screen is protecting your privacy then this screen is not great but if you are searching for a screen filter to solve the reflection problem on your macbook pro then this is great!UPDATE: The screen filter has actually two sides. One has an additional anti glare filter, which is the one I use, which helps get rid of the reflections in your screen and the other one does not have that, which is therefore glossier. So, the privacy protection does work on the glossier side much better. So if you are only buying this as a privacy filter then make sure you have the glossier side of the screen facing you.Bottom line: The matt anti glare side helps you kill the reflections but does not deliver much privacy. The glossier side gives you more privacy but does not get rid of reflections on your screen.

Too thick and does not allow the screen to close fully
At first glance this seems like an awesome product. The magnetic attachment removes the need for adhesive tape that loses effectiveness over time. The dimensions of the screen match exactly with the 15" MacBook Pro with touch bar, however the depth is too thick to allow the lid to close fully. When open, the screen does not sit flush with the display, so there is a gap on the bottom where there is no magnetic attachment (see pictures). This affects the visibility of content on the lower part of the screen because of the air gap between the filter and the screen itself. The privacy functionality is also not quite as good as the 3M gold screen filters.A nice idea, but bad execution.Update 7/21/2017:The seller, Akamai, has reached out to provide a refund for my purchase even after the 30-day Amazon limit. They also note in the description that the lid will not shut with the filter attached. As such, I'll up the rating to 3-stars from 2-stars due to excellent customer service. While my evaluation of the product itself still stands, it's nice to know that the seller will work with you to ensure customer satisfaction.

Great concept, the magnet is an awesome idea BUT
Great concept, the magnet is an awesome idea BUT, the screen is incredibly blurry while installed... I purchased this so I could have my MacBook Air at work and respond to text messages without the prying eyes of my co-workers, but if I can't read the text because it's so blurry, it serves absolutely no purpose to me in it's current state. Even my 6 year old walked up and asked me why it was so blurry. I REALLY wanted to like this product but like I said, it's just too blurry to be useful. I have attached a picture showing how the text is blurry. The camera actually makes it look clearer than it is. I will try to use it for a week and see if I can get used to it, but compared to other products that have privacy screens, this is by far the most blurry I have used.**Edit: Akamai is a great company to buy for. They have gone above and beyond to make sure that I'm satisfied with my purchase. Although there are some blur issues with the screen the company went above and beyond to make it right.

Works perfectly as described; if you value privacy and simplicity, buy it!
Beautiful product! Exactly what I wanted, a screen that is easy to install and remove as needed when working with clients. I could not be happier, now that I can better protect my screen when working in public areas, and easily remove the filter as needed for collaborative discussion. I'm definitely looking forward to buying another when I purchase a MacBook for personal use.Two points:1) There are two sides to this privacy screen. I have it installed with the "smooth" side facing me.2) The magnet is only across the top of the product, so nothing is securing the privacy screen at the bottom. This isn't an issue for me, but something one should keep in mind as they should be somewhat mindful if you have a habit of slamming the lid closed or tossing in a paper or two before closing the lid. Also, this is where IThe magnet is great again, because it the privacy screen immediately blends into the display. After having the screen installed, it is only noticeable when (it is doing it's job) someone is attempting to view the display from the sides of the laptop. I paid full price, and was skeptical since there were no reviews, but since I have Prime it was an easy choice to give it a shot.
