Stainless Steel is best for mud pans and knives. Easy cleanup and and no rusting if cared for properly. Don't cheap out on plastic alternatives if you can.

After several home renovation jobs with a plastic mud pan that was a total PITA to clean, I threw this in my cart and decided to give it a try. It's honestly one of the best purchases I made with regards to my drywall tool arsenal. If you're thinking you can save money on a cheaper pan, don't do it! It's stainless steel, so if cared for properly it will not rust. It's polished and perfectly smooth, so it takes 1/3 the time to clean. The top edges are sharp and true, which makes cleaning your mud knives a snap. I no longer get little red plastic bits in my compound when I accidentally scrape the bottom, and can use about every last bit in the pan. Mine was a Made in the USA product and from my opinion of 18 years in the sheetmetal fabrication business, is extremely well made.

What's not to like? This unit is polished stainless steel with beautifully welded seams. No burrs, sits flat, and has a level edge for cleaning the knifes. Great workmanship, and made in the USA too!Before buying this I had one of those plastics mud pans. What a waste, it litterly fell apart, the metal edges came out, rusted, and the plastic (red of all things) chipped out, and ended up on the wall. Plus it was very difficult to clean. This stainless steel pan won't have any of those problems, and will last forever.If you're looking for a mud pan, this is the one to get. Actually almost the same price as that big box store plastic one I bought that only lasted 2 weeks, and never worked right for me.

USA MADE, VERY HIGH QUALITY, WELDS ARE SMOOTH AND CONSISTENT, DURABLE STAINLESS STEEL, EASILY CLEANABLE MUD PAN AND YOU NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS SPACKLE PAN RUSTING. JUST BY HOLDING IT IN YOUR HAND YOU CAN FEEL THE QUALITY AND SEE THAT THIS PAN IS MUCH BETTER QUALITY THEN YOUR AVERAGE LOW COST PAN, A LITTLE EXTRA COST BUT YOU WILL GET YEARS MORE WORK OUT OF IT = SO IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE LITTLE EXTRA COST. VERY HAPPY WITH PURCHASE AND WOULD BUY THIS SAME PAN AGAIN IF THERE IS EVER NEED TO BUY ANOTHER, JUST HOPE A FRIEND OR NEIGHBOR THAT MAY BORROW IT WILL NOT LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO OR I WILL HAVE TO GO OUT OF MY WAY TO FETCH IT FROM THEM AFTER THEY BORROW IT FOR THEIR REPAIR AT THEIR HOME. MAY BUY AN EL-CHEAPO PAN TO HAVE TO LOAN OUT JUST TO KEEP THIS ONE FROM BEING LOANED OUT AT ALL, IT IS THAT NICE.

Great pan and easy to clean with no rust. Just some sharp edges when it arrives. I polished it down so it didn’t damage anything, including me.

I finally decided to invest in a proper mud pan after taking on a substantial home remodeling project.The fit and finish of the pan is top notch, way better than the run off of mill that you find at the big box stores. The pan arrived in a timely mannerand in perfect condition. Being a pro level item, I found it heavy at first but you will get used to it. I seriously doubt that I will ever have to replace it in my lifetime.

After reading reviews I bought this o e and I have to say, EVERYTHING people say about it is true! Great quality made product here in America!

Very well made and made in the use. Is for professional use only but very sharp edges, will cut you right open when your cleaning it. Use a stainless steel ball to clean it it sliced my finger wide open. I recommend this to everyone will last a lifetime and you need it for best results!
