Smart Flood Light Bulb - Color Changing BR30 Flood Light Bulb 9W(65W Equivalent) E26, Music Sync Dimmable Timing Function Light Bulb, No Hub Required (BR30-13W - 4)

I am enjoying playing with this bulb a little too much. I particularly like being able to adjust the brightness from the comfort of my bed. As it was, my choices were either a pitch dark bedroom, or a very bright bedroom. My husband is one of those people who fall asleep at 8 pm, and I am a night owl. Now, when he lies down, I can just turn the light to dim and can still see to move around the room and to avoid tripping on the dog. The lack of a star is due to the app itself. The app they tell you to download on the box is useless. There are no instructions on its use, and half of the features don’t work. Following another users advice, I downloaded the EIQ Smart app, and that one works much better. There are still no instructions, but it is much more intuitive and easy to figure out.•••••Edit 4/25/19•••••••Bulb is still going strong. I have no regrets, but I would not order this again, or another for the house in a different room.I had a lot of fun with this for about a week. I turned the light to match my dog (handy little section where you upload a picture and touch the color and the light changes to match it). Sadly, my dog did not turn invisible in the dog matching light.I tortured my husband by syncing it to songs played through my phone. The light flashed and brightened/dimmed to the music. I say tortured because I used the songs I know he hates the most, because I’m an awful person. Sadly, the light did not flash red whenever the song said red in “red solo cup”. Highly amusing to annoy him, slightly disappointing to not have it flash red.All in all, if you’re easily amused, this is fun for a bit. Then it turns into a lightbulb. A light bulb that randomly turns off, whether the app is running or not. Which can be obnoxious. I’ll be happily reading and the light will just randomly decide “K ima turn off now!”. There’s no pattern or rhyme or reason, it just does it.

I've purchased eight of the BR30-style 13w iLintek Smart Floodlights so far and I think they're a great product hindered by horrible instructions and a clunky app (EIQ was just updated in the last couple of days though and I haven't yet tried it out, so it's possible that even that has gotten better. The instructiosn say to turn the lights off and on three times to get the light into configuration mode--this is incorrect (at least on the lights I have)--mine required me to turn them off and then on again closer to 10 times. I basically turn them off and on until they come on dim, then stop, then within a second or two they begin to flash green for configuration.Once set up, the colors are vivid and plenty bright (although some parts of the spectrum will be dimmer than others--I think this is an issue among all color-changing LEDs). The brightest, cool white setting is EXCEPTIONALLY bright. For the price I think these can't be beat and I will be purchasing more in the near future. Compare them to Sylvania's BR-30 style light which is more expensive and not as bright...While iLintek's instructions are bad (clearly not written by a native English speaker) and the app could use a lot of polish, their customer service has been fantastic. I had an issue when they were offering free remotes with a set of lights where I had forgotten to add the remote to my cart. I contacted them and was responded to very quickly; they sent the remote free of charge. When I ordered my next set I remembered to add the remote, but for whatever reason the price didn't automatically drop off. Again I contacted them, got a fast, friendly response, and was refunded the price of the remote.When I had an issue setting up the remote through the app, I got a fast response that the issue had been identified and that an update (presumably the most recent one, again, I haven't tried it out yet) was already in the pipeline to correct the issue.If you want the support that a larger, US-centric corporation can offer and don't mind the higher cost and lower lumens, go with the Sylvania light. If you can get past the still-rough-around-the-edges app and do a little quick Googling to supplement the provided instructions, you'll find that these are a good value. I'm looking forward to more from iLintek.

lamp is easy to install but as part of configuration via app its disappear from the list itself and have to reconfigure again. Also color changing and changes with microphone are not working as require. I have emailed customer service and they responded to reinstall the app but this is not the solution for problem. App is also using high battery in background.

The lights seem sturdy and well made they work in conjunction with the EIQ Smart app. After hooking everything up for the first time they worked great in conjunction with the app. After a few min the app would not function correctly. It constantly states “ refreshing” and does not allow any control. I have deleted and reinstalled several times. I have a brand new iPhone XS plus, every other app on my phone works fine. The product is worthless without the app.

It toke a minute to get this connected to my phone threw the app. When it did finally connect everything worked as described. The lights are very nice and bright. I would recommend this product. But I should say the app for the bulb says to connect to is decent and has more potential to make it better. But that doesn't affect anything with the bulb.

It is a new cool gadget playing around the light color on your phone. Its so cool you can change it in an instant on any color you want, you can also increase the brightness and sync it with music which is so good. I thought I can link it to my Google Home but unfortunately I cannot. It can only work on the iLintek mobile app. Hopefully they add it to google in the future.

This thing sets the tone for sure. You can set it at ANY color you want. Its crazy. all through your phone..... HELLOOOOO FUTURE

The light is very bright, cool color combination and it connects via Bluetooth with changing light.
